As National Vice President of WIPA, I recently had the privilege of attending a San Francisco WIPA Chapter event at the Claremont Resort & Club, and I was once again reminded of what true hospitality looks like. From the moment we began planning through the final guest departure, the team delivered an experience that felt thoughtful, seamless, and deeply personal. They treated our organization as though we were the only event on their calendar. Every detail was handled with care, professionalism, and genuine pride, creating an experience our members are still talking about. What stood out most was how effortlessly the team represented the Claremont brand. Nothing felt scripted or performative. The service was warm, intuitive, and authentic. Every interaction reflected a culture of excellence that is clearly embedded throughout the organization. What makes this even more meaningful is that this experience did not surprise me. Through my company, Mark Addington Events, I have had the privilege of working at the Claremont for more than 15 years. I've DJed countless weddings, corporate events, and celebrations here, and time after time, the standard has remained remarkably consistent. While the property itself is iconic, it is the people who truly set it apart. The team makes exceptional service look natural and fluid. They genuinely seem happy to be there, and that joy translates directly into the guest experience. Their commitment to excellence never feels forced. It feels authentic, and that is increasingly rare. A special thank you to Managing Director Edward Roe. His leadership is evident in every aspect of the guest experience. He is the epitome of a class act and leads by example, creating an environment where both guests and team members feel valued. The standards he upholds are reflected in every touchpoint throughout the property. The Claremont Resort & Club didn't simply host our WIPA event - they elevated it. After more than 15 years of working at and experiencing events at this incredible property, I can say with complete confidence that if you want the very best for your guests, host your event at the Claremont. I look forward to many more events there, both personally and professionally, and will continue recommending it to anyone looking for an exceptional event experience.

The Claremont is such a peaceful and comfortable place to stay. My wife and I are very happy guests. Some time after a smooth check-in, we needed some assistance and guest relations staffer Effie kindly made sure our needs were totally met. (Thanks, Effie!) The Claremont’s amenities and eateries are very good (each with convenient hours for different parts of the day) and the employees are kind, helpful people.

Effie is very good service. We recommend this place. It's clean, quiet, and you can relax.

I recently attended a wedding industry event at the Claremont Resort & Club, and I was thoroughly impressed. The hotel itself is gorgeous, and the hilltop location offers truly spectacular views. Every staff member I interacted with was welcoming and accommodating. It’s a stunning property, and I’d absolutely return for a personal stay with my family.

I really like this place, and I wish I could give it 5 stars. But based on the issues we experienced, I can't. Let me start by saying on a positive note. Every employee we encountered was excellent. Happy to help and very friendly. They were even able to get us checked into our room an hour early as I did not realize check in time was four p m. We got a king suite room in the tower on the eighth floor and the room was very spacious.And the views were gorgeous.However, the room had the strongest musty smell ever. I honestly couldn't tell where the smell was coming from. I walked around and smelled the curtains. The bedding, it was not emanating from them all.I can think it was in the duct work. I call downstairs, and they offered to send up in air purifier, which I accepted, since there were no other rooms available to be moved to. While waiting for the air purifier to arrive, my husband decided to take a shower, and I stood at the large window, looking at the beautiful views of the san francisco bay. When I heard a noise behind me, I thought it was my husband out of the bathroom but no, it was a couple with their bags, and a key to our room. Thank goodness I was dressed and I simply said, I believe you're in the wrong room. They said this is the key they gave us for room 801. They immediately left and went back downstairs.I assume I call down stairs to ask how in the world this could have possibly happened. I did later receive a call with an apology from a desk agent who in a rush had given this couple keys to our room. She also left an apology card and a bottled wine in our room. Everything for the next couple of days was fine. Had a great experience at the spa. However, when we checked out, I noticed that 2 items we were told would be removed from our bill. We're not removed.One of them was for joining their rewards program.The appetizer at the restaurant was supposed to be compt.And also, when the mistake was made with the couple getting our room key, I was told by the girl who called me that they would give us a hundred.And fifty dollar credit at the limewood restaurant in the hotel. When I check out portfolio came these items had not been subtracted, so I called down and spoke with someone and they said they would subtract them. We were only in town for a couple days to celebrate our granddaughters, graduation, and I think when we come to town again, we will probably stay elsewhere. That makes me kind of sad, because they really had an excellent staff, both in the restaurant, spa and at the front desk.

This review is for the spa - I’ve been getting facials and massages for over 20 years, and I can honestly say that Myrine and Jamie are among the very best practitioners I’ve ever experienced. This was my second Hydrafacial with Myrine, and she is simply exceptional. She is hands down the best esthetician I’ve ever been to. Of all the facials I’ve had over the years, she is the most thorough, detailed, caring, and attentive. She never feels rushed and is incredibly intentional in everything she does. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and takes great pride in her work. She consistently goes above and beyond, not because she has to, but because that’s who she is. What makes her even more remarkable is that the results match the experience. My skin looked noticeably better immediately after the treatment. It was brighter, healthier, more hydrated, and had a glow that I don’t typically see after most facials. Even more importantly, it felt amazing. The difference was obvious, and it’s one of the reasons I keep coming back to her. Her level of care, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering exceptional results is truly rare. Jamie gave me a deep tissue massage, and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I’ve received countless massages over the years, and what impressed me most was his skill, intuition, and unique approach. He wasn’t simply following a routine. The massage felt thoughtful, personalized, and incredibly effective. I left feeling better than I had in a long time. I’ve also been coming to the Claremont for nearly two decades, and one thing that has always stood out is the staff. Everyone is consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. It’s rare these days to find a place where so many team members stay for years, but seeing familiar faces over time says a lot about the culture and the people who work there. The level of hospitality throughout the property is truly exceptional. I walked out of the Claremont feeling like I had experienced two of the absolute best professionals in their field. Between the outstanding service from Myrine and Jamie and the consistently wonderful staff throughout the property, this was one of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had. I cannot recommend them highly enough.I’ve been getting facials and massages for over 20 years, and I can honestly say that Myrine and Jamie are among the very best practitioners I’ve ever experienced.

The Claremont is a one-of-a-kind place. The history is incredible and staying there feels like a home away from home. I am a Claremont Club member and the way that I was helped by everyone there was awesome. I needed my room earlier than check-in time and Effie responded to my needs with professionalism, warmth, and grace. She represents the best of the Claremont. If you choose to stay here I do hope you get a chance to meet her.
