This Motel 6 in Rancho Mirage is a filthy, dangerous crack den masquerading as a hotel. We booked through Expedia while on our honeymoon, hoping for a peaceful place to rest between obligations. Instead, we were thrown into a room with a completely broken refrigerator. Management’s empty promises of a room change and compensation went nowhere. The property is swarming with tweakers, prostitutes, and near-constant sheriff activity. While parked on the premises, our expensive scooter — securely strapped to our vehicle — was brazenly stolen in broad daylight, with the entire theft captured on surveillance. Management’s response was dismissive, hostile, and completely useless. Worse, we had set up a full professional printing operation in our room — three industrial machines, extensive wiring, Wi-Fi hotspots, the entire production rig — because we made commitments to important clients back in Idyllwild, including the mayor. Setting everything up took us an entire day. This morning, after successfully extending our reservation through Expedia with a paid confirmation, the manager aggressively confronted us and demanded we leave immediately, forcing us to tear down our entire professional setup. His disrespectful behavior toward me and my wife, combined with this completely unnecessary disruption, has caused significant financial loss and wasted time. This place is an absolute disgrace.
