Hilton Columbia Center

Great Service, friendly staff.

Just don’t. Find somewhere that values your time, your money, and basic professionalism.

Have stayed at the Hilton Columbia Center multiple times and had very good experiences. Stayed there 2 weeks ago and was not a good experience at all. First construction was happening in the lobby area and had temporary checkin desk setup. Hotel did not have under construction listed on website. If I would have known I wouldn't have stayed there. Second thing that happened was 3 out of 4 mornings there we couldn't get out of the parking garage due the parking card wouldn't work and had to go back into hotel to get reprogramed. Very aggravating. During the stay and after departure tried to contact manager to complain but never received a call back. Will complain to Hilton about the experience and let them know since it's a franchised Hilton property.

Where do I begin - so I booked the stay to attend my daughter’s USC orientation, thinking the convenience to the campus would be great. Which it is. I arrived on my check in day only to find out that my Hilton rewards account is mysteriously linked to my husband‘s name which it never has been before, so that was fun to get worked out. Then we get here and realize this entire place is under construction. The AC did not work well in our room so we were miserably warm all night. The toilet is very loud and runs. Only 1 working elevator! We couldn’t use our barcodes to get in/out to the parking garage because they didn’t work! We stayed on the eighth floor and there was trash all over the floor, food on the floor, cups and trash outside peoples doors that have been there since we checked in. I feel like this a little uncalled for, especially for being a Hilton Hotel hotel - I expected a better atmosphere than what I walked in to! Just this place seems like a chaotic hot mess with not much direction or guidance. The only nice part of this hotel were the people who checked us in on Sunday night (7/19). They were kind & understanding & made us feel a little less stressed during the check in process. The restaurant is nice as well. Charging for parking is absurd & should be a part of the room pricing!!! Upon checkout though this morning (7/20), whoever was working the desk was extremely rude and nasty. I tried explaining that the barcodes were not working to let people in and out of the parking garage yesterday and I got nothing but attitude back with a nasty look - I didn’t appreciate that at all!!! All in all I learned my lesson and we will never stay here again!!! Especially for the price & what I paid! I will also be calling Hilton directly and filing a complaint with them as well. Again, the only thing that saved my star rating were the people upon check-in who were kind the restaurant and everybody who worked there were kind and the proximity is the campus that is the only good thing about this place!!! If it wasn’t for those things, I would give everything one star heck I’d give it zero stars if I could.

We had a serious cleaning problems with our first room (strong smell of rotten food) and dust from the repairs that caused allergic reactions in part of the crew. Our second room had an insect infestation (ants I believe) in our beds. Hundreds of them. We then moved to another room that was not maintained for a while (dust mostly). Our fourth room was decent. Old, but relatively clean. The local team did their best to move us around, but the lack of maintenance, cleaning and the consequences of the first floor repairs ruined our experience. The Hilton corporate customer service was as useless as the expedia team. After several calls to them they were not able or willingly to accommodate our requests. We would have moved to another hotel but was 4th of July with two kids. Impossible. At the end I received a refund for part of what I paid thanks to a local clerk who was the only person with common sense among these two large corporations. I will stay away from these old and poorly kept hilton properties and stop using expedia since they don’t support their customers leaving us to deal with the properties directly and pretending we didn’t book the room with expedia. No point in doing business with them if you have no support.

We had the pleasure of a sweet lady name Kat to check us in. Amazing personality and great customer service! Good Job Kat! You’re appreciated 💕

They are under construction. Considering that everything was decent.

Stayed here multiple times, and had great experiences, but recent trip was disappointing. They are doing work on the entrance and the pool was closed. I understand maintenance is necessary but usually they list this on the website when booking. This was not the case and staff showed zero concern at check in. Plenty of other great options in the area.
