I've been up all night due to the street sweepers and fire alarm. I called downstairs to check about another room and they tell me sorry I have to deal with it because all rooms are on this side. I asked for something higher and I was told no. Without being able to sleep this evening, and the poor response from customer service, my weekly stays will be somewhere else.

Disrespectful night service.

Caroline at the front desk was absolutely amazing!! She gave great recommendations on things to do and places to eat, and was super polite. The room was very nice and the rooftop bar was a great time. Will definitely stay here again when I travel to Columbia.

Breakfast never opened on a Monday.

Everyone from the Valet, front desk and roof top bar were extremely nice and you could tell they really wanted us to have a good customer experience. It made a difference! Thank you

Thank you for an amazing stay for a wedding weekend. Everything was superb. We loved our room, the coffee, and the friendly staff. Great location, and lovely vibe.

Perfect location downtown to walk to many restaurants. Clean rooms. Beautiful old architecture with much character.

A beautifully preserved historic hotel with a great deal of character. The suite itself was spacious—more like a small apartment. I stayed on a Saturday and was looking forward to relaxing in the concierge lounge after a long drive to Columbia. Unfortunately, the lounge experience fell short. The space is quite small, with a limited selection of snacks and a beverage offering that lacked variety. As a Platinum Elite member, this was the most underwhelming concierge lounge experience I’ve had at a Marriott property.

This might be my new go-to for my Cola visits. Other than the obvious good location (esp if you're hitting SodaCityMkt), they check off a lot of my boxes. ✅️ Bottled hand soap ✅️ A lid on the toilet seat ✅️ Bed that's not too hard Bonus: dual shower head + the water bottles in the room are free! The valet was a bit behind on Friday when we checked in so they may want to look at staffing better during Friday evenings when everyone usually shows up. Cars were having to double park and use their hazards while the attendants did their thing. They were hustling though so no hate on the staff, but there were only 2 of them for about 10 cars all at once. The bartender at the Vault on Friday evening was very nice and made great drink suggestions. We really enjoyed our time there.

Convenient spot for a USC visit. Parking was a little tricky to figure out. Nice room.
