Side Kicks Saloon

A fun little dive gay bar. The decor is dated- showing its history if you take the time to look around. They have a dedicated dance floor and enclosed smoking patio. There is a second bar that opens on busy nights by the dance floor, a pool table for slower nights, and lots of dart boards for either. Bartenders are personable, owner is present often, and the music varies depending on the crowd.

This bar is one of our favorites. It's a chill, laid back place to get a drink and have a good time. It has loyal regular customes and we have always felt welcomed here. They have drag shows from time to time, poker nights, dart nights and also has a pool table. It is a cash only place but they have an ATM if needed. Go and have a drink there you'll enjoy it.

I love Sidekick’s Saloon! Established in 1990 this is Kansas City’s oldest Gay Bar! Their drinks are strong and extremely economical, 15% cheaper than Woody’s and 25% than Missie B’s. They have great music whether DJ’d or their playlists, and amazing movies! They have darts and pool, with live shows, including an amateur drag show on Thursdays. This is a welcoming place, where Kerry, Devin and Joe, all of the bartenders will go out of their way to make you feel welcome! :)

They take cash only. It's 2025 folks at least take venmo or PayPal or something
