Has always been my favorite spot in Lex as far as bars. Good mixed crowd. Always a fun time. Service is friendly and works with haste. Good guest entertainers as well as great weekly entertainers. Great for a show every weekend, and a nice trip to the dance floor upstairs. Also a nice seating area with booths at the main bar. There's a little bit for everyone here, regardless of sexual orientation or preference. Just a good time to hang out.
For some reason, this place gets worse every time I come. The upstairs dance music gets really stale after a time or two, and the downstairs drag show speakers are so crappy that they physically hurt your hears — the high notes sting like microphone feedback. Also, stop charging for the drag show at the front door — if you go straight up to the dance floor like I do, you never even see a queen. Take that charge at the drag lounge entrance instead, please. I’ve paid the drag cover several times without ever seeing the show, which is lame. Anyway, the drinks are usually good, but I really wish they had a self-serve water cooler upstairs like every other bar in the city. It’s awkward to have to ask the bartender (and not tip since water is free), and then get like 6oz of room-temperature water. People need to hydrate!
Did not open on time, no food but they allowed me to bring some popcorn in. They also charge 2 dollars for a a 6 oz coke with mostly ice.....seems excessive.
Says open but it’s not. Walked in the freezing cold just to be met with locked doors.
