OBX PrideFest

OBX PrideFest is the Outer Banks' Pride celebration, run since 2011 by the Manteo nonprofit OBX Pride, Inc. The main festival is free and family-friendly, held on a Saturday in mid-September at Roanoke Island Festival Park on the downtown Manteo waterfront, with vendors, performers and drag. Around it sits a weekend of ticketed side events across Roanoke Island and the beach towns.

The 2026 edition, the 15th, ran from 11 to 13 September: a sunset cruise from Pirate's Cove marina on the Friday, the festival on Saturday 12 September (12:00 to 18:00) with drag headliner Gigi Monroe, an evening party at Old Tom's in Manteo, and a drag brunch at Jennette's Pier in Nags Head on the Sunday. In 2025 the festival was on Saturday 13 September. The 2027 date had not been announced when we checked.
