Room decor is off putting and run down. For the price, you’d expect more than what felt like a cheap, rundown 80s style. The carpeted floors paired with a musty smell was completed by stray hairs and crumbs on the bed sheets once I arrived. Also, the shower doesn’t drain. My recommendation - please update your creepy rooms, rip up this carpeting and replace the curtains. Also, please speak to the cleaning team.

“Boutique hotel” is being used here as an excuse for too much. The location is excellent, and to be fair, the food quality in the restaurant was good. But beyond that, this hotel seems much more focused on style than on the basics of a comfortable stay. When we arrived, there was no doorman, just a homeless man standing at the entrance, and there was no clear or welcoming way to get to the lobby. You have to figure out on your own that you need to take one of two elevators and go down through what feels like a jazz club, which is a strange and awkward first impression when you’re arriving with luggage. The rooms are extremely small, even by New York standards, and not especially well designed for actual travelers. More importantly, the room was dusty. The obvious surfaces may have been wiped down, but beyond that it looked like many areas had not been properly cleaned in many, many months. There is almost nowhere to put your luggage, and a simple luggage rack would make a huge difference. There are very few usable surfaces, and the bathroom is tiny, with nowhere to place clothes while showering. To make matters worse, there is an oversized trash can in the bathroom that is constantly in the way. There is a dresser/bureau, but it’s partially wasted space because it’s been stuffed with robes most people will never use, instead of leaving more practical room for guests’ belongings. The hotel also plays games with how it presents its amenities. There is no in room coffee, which is a basic expectation at this price point. They advertise an “in room minibar,” but in reality it is mostly just a basket of snacks. They also make it sound like they are generously giving you $25 per day toward the restaurant and $10 per day toward the minibar, but what they do not make clear is that they are effectively charging you about $40 a day for those credits. That is not a perk. That is a forced charge dressed up as a benefit. And the billing in general is not transparent. There are too many hidden fees, and then taxes layered on top of those fees, which leaves you feeling nickel and dimed. Other disappointments: • The view was poor • The air conditioning did not work during our stay, even though it was around 80 degrees • The restaurant was closed one day for a private event • Room service felt amateurish • Be prepared to pay an absurd amount for basics, including roughly $45 for a pot of coffee for two Overall, this place feels like a hotel that is taking advantage of the “boutique hotel” label to justify cramped rooms, weak service, and overpriced extras. Good location, decent food, but not nearly enough to make up for everything else. Bottom line: stylish branding, but not a particularly comfortable or well run stay.

Hotel is well designed with a beautiful art deco aesthetic, but is missing on a few service w/staff mixed (some great, some poor). We checked in at 4p with a fair number of bags. There was no porter - we were informed his hours end at 3p which makes little sense given that’s check-in time - and while one of the front desk staff was nice, neither were particularly helpful given the number of bags w/the other seemingly content playing solitaire. Room itself was fine, though the chair and a few other items were torn up. We requested a coffee maker and a kettle. Both were brought but the coffee maker was only brought with decaf, which wasn’t a great surprise at 5a before heading out for our flight the next day. AC unfortunately didn’t work and room was quite stuffy as a result. This only became evident late into the evening where no longer easy to move or fix. Overall, great aesthetic, great cafe. Mixed staff and missing the basics of what you’d expect for a 4-star hotel at north of $500 a night.

My family and I were looking forward to staying here, but we're unable to unfortunately. And even though we had an obligation to pay, the staff went out of their way to try to assist me. They were extremely friendly and it means a lot to me. The hotel is beautiful. I'm looking forward to staying there at the next opportunity. New York City has always had a place in my heart, but a reputation of rude people when I find it not to be true. The staff, especially Mr. Jaden were extraordinary.

We stayed at the Walker Hotel for our honeymoon and had an amazing experience. The hotel is stylish, cozy, and perfect for a romantic stay. Our room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the location made it easy to explore the city. The food was delicious. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for couples or anyone looking for a great hotel experience.

The Walker Hotel is a Greenwich Village masterclass in modern comfort and Prohibition-era soul. We worked with Alexandria and her team, who ensured our stay was the utmost delight. Our 18th-floor room offered an iconic Empire State Building view, a wonderfully plush bed, and a sublime bathtub. The lobby—with its fireplace, live jazz, and expert bartender—is a treat to linger in. Perfectly located for any NYC experience, it’s a soulful sanctuary we can't wait to return to.

This hotel is beyond amazing! I’ve walked by it for years and my work colleagues at Adobe always stay here. Recently, I needed an overnight in this neighborhood and tried it out. Not only did I get the best room - balcony, soaking tub and Empire State view - but everyone was friendly and it was just easy to be here. Great location. C.O. Bigelow toiletries. So clean! It’s the best!!!!

The Walker hotel was amazing! The staff were so kind and amenable. The hotel is gorgeous and very aesthetic. Clean and well taken care of. The reason why I didn’t give it a five star review was that their menu wasn’t really gluten and dairy free friendly, which made breakfast hard since we had to order in and the rooms were pretty dark which made it hard to do my make up.
