We spent the weekend at The Gables in August and loved it. It’s a beautifully restored Victorian home in a quaint Philadelphia neighborhood. The collection of period items that adorn the rooms and common areas are amazing. Steeping in the door is like stepping into the past. The food and hospitality were excellent as well. Highly recommend.

We had the best time at the Gables Bed and Breakfast! Jeanette and Cesar were great hosts. Their attention to detail- from the decorations around the house to yummy breakfast- made our stay an experience we’ll never forget. It was great connecting with fellow guests of all ages (26-60+) at breakfast, a rare opportunity to interact with random people in this fast-paced, digital world. We also loved the close proximity to Clark Park where there’s a farmers market Saturday mornings. We’d highly recommend spending some time at the Gables B&B!

Absolutely amazing hospitality in a gorgeous Victorian mansion. I selected the South Room for my 14-year-old daughter and I. It is so beautifully decorated as is the rest of the home. Every room - including the common areas - is impeccably decorated with delightful antiques. The front covered porch is a place for rest and relaxation. The innkeepers made us feel like welcomed guests the moment we booked our reservation. Upon arrival, we immediately felt at home.

Cesar and Jeannette were extremely hospitable and friendly. We were so grateful to Cesar for accommodating our need for very early breakfasts so that we could get to an event and an early train. The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated the comfortable and completely quiet air conditioning. We would absolutely recommend The Gables.

We stayed here in May 2025 for my daughter's graduation from PennVet. We had a suite on the top floor. It was clean, decorated well and we were treated to wonderful breakfasts each day. Plus, we did not have to worry about our car with free parking. The location was close to public transportation and Caesar and his sister were fantastic hosts. He even showed us his foster rescue dogs. The home was quiet...an oasis in the city. Much better than impersonal hotels. We will be back. Highly recommend.

I didn’t even stay here, but I wanted to give a shout out to the excellent, compassionate and friendly service we received from Cesar at The Gables. Almost all of the hotels in the area were booked and our flight was delayed overnight. We were in such a bind and I had called at least 50 hotels that told me “ sorry we’re fully booked”. While the Gables was fully booked on a busy weekend, Cesar went the extra mile to send me options that had availability and genuinely showed care for us. The Gables as an establishment that truly understands great hospitality and Customer service. I didn’t even stay here and I felt so welcomed and cared for. He even followed up with me the next day to make sure our flight was on time and that we got what we needed the night before. Thank you!

If you've never stayed in a Victorian mansion, you owe it to yourself to stay here! My wife and I have stayed here six times and we look forward to the next visit.

I highly recommend the Gables Bed & Breakfast. The hospitality was 1st rate!! Food was excellent and the company was phenomenal! We will definitely be back. 😊

Extremely friendly and communicative owner. The house is charming and breakfast was delicious. Conveniently located across the street from a trolly stop and has off street parking.

This is a great place to visit with children; it's convenient and comfortable if you're driving. It's a very nice house, and the owner is kind and polite. The rooms are quite comfortable, although the restroom is a bit small. There's no elevator, so you have to walk up to the third floor, but we had no problem with it and found it very comfortable.

It was so nice to stay here as an alternate to hotels and bnb, they were super hospitable on a fully packed weekend. The neighborhood was lovely to walk in, the trolley was right there honestly can’t wait to stay here again. Thanks!
