I loved this place! Me and my husband came for Memorial Day weekend and were met with friendly staff and clean amenities. Fresh towels, spotless rooms, and yummy breakfast. And it’s only a 5 minute drive from the beach! Definitely recommend and will be coming here again for the summer.

Very warm and welcoming front desk. Spacious rooms. Updated and clean. Simple continental breakfast. Decent location on the edge of town.

Stayed here for two nights and paid almost $400 — completely not worth it. This place is seriously overpriced for what you get. The rooms are old, outdated, and had a noticeable moldy smell. Basic guest amenities were not working — the washer and dryer were broken, which was very inconvenient. Overall, everything felt cheap and poorly maintained. For the price they charge, you expect at least clean, functional, and comfortable accommodations — this was the opposite. I would not recommend staying here unless they make major improvements.

Good location a. Half a mile from the beach security in the area and very clean rooms the manager is a good person very attentive surely. We’ll be back soon

Upon checking in I went up to find that the door to the room had a 2 inch gap between the frame and the door so bad you could see daylight out of it. For safety reasons and being in the main road I went down to the front desk and expressed my concern. Her response was I can get maintenance up there. Well unless you’re gonna replace the whole frame which looked like it was kicked in then I don’t see that happening. I asked for refund because I didn’t feel safe staying there and her response was I have to contact the manager which nothing was done. I was there for 10 minutes and was refused a refund. This is a poor example of customer service. We did not stay there and booked another hotel that night. I do not recommend this establishment if you have a family

It's ok... cheap rooms, but be prepared to pay $100 deposit that is not mentioned anywhere when you make reservation. While in line they sprung the deposit fee on the person ahead of me and when he told them he didn't have the money for the deposit, they waived it. Rooms were clean, parking was well lit, A/C worked well. We got into town around 1 and tried to see if we could get early check-in. Their immediate response was there's a fee, which is expected, but told the earliest they could do was 3:30. Not paying a fee for 30 min early check-in.

I would never stay here again. Rooms smell awful like moth balls and mold. No tv remote. Except for 1 lady, the staff was awful. Choose somewhere else..its not worth a few dollars cheaper.

I recently stayed at the Island Hotel Port Aransas with a group of three. Overall, we had a good experience, especially considering some of the mixed reviews I had seen beforehand. The room itself was updated and very clean, which made for a comfortable stay. I also appreciated the location. It’s a bit removed from the main part of town, which I personally enjoyed because it was quieter and less crowded. At the same time, it’s still very close to the beach, which was a big plus. One issue we did encounter was that our room only had two towels, even though there were three of us staying. It wasn’t a huge problem, but it’s something that could easily be improved. As for breakfast, it was fairly underwhelming, but that matched what I had already read in other reviews, so it wasn’t a surprise. Overall, I would consider staying here again for a clean, quiet place near the beach—just with slightly adjusted expectations for amenities.

You know that there is a glitch in your system for people ordering rooms online, so you have two options. You call the customer ahead to let them know that the price they paid online is not valid and will have to pay an additional fee upon arriving. Or you do absolutely nothing and spring it on them when they show up. Which one do you think they chose?
