The Pilgrim House

See update below. Owners are amazing!!!!! Penny Grab’ Pilgrim House: We were extremely excited to try this property under new owners. We actually just checked in but have not been to the room yet. Staying in masthead room for 5th time in 3 years. Supposedly the high end rooms. Loved it in the past. Upon check-in today, we were told that the room may be ready and can goto room if it is ready but will cost us $50 If before 3pm. I was a bit surprised as I’ve traveled a lot and never expect early checkin but it is a ‘surprise and delight’ type thing which fosters repeat business and a pleasant customer experience. **UPDATE** Received a call from one of the owners (Maria) about 20 minutes after this post. Maria, as a new full owner is the epitome of EXCELLENT customer service. Not only is she apologize and let us know she is working on changing things at the hotel, she personally escorted us to our room and gifted us an excellent bottle of champagne. This is the Ptown we know and love (not to mention hospitality). Thank you, Maria. You turned our experience from bad to excellent. We will most definitely be returning and will let our friends know how hard you are working!!!!! We were told by the front desk clerk that there’s no way we can access room prior to 3 (whatever time it may be ready) unless we pay. WOW! Not only are we repeat customers that will not return but we are also bringing other people new to the property that won’t return.

Pilgrim House was the most perfect place to stay in Ptown! Great location, centrally located but still quiet and relaxing. Maria & her team made our stay exceptional, they had great local recommendations. We can’t wait to come back!

Husband and I stayed at Pilgrim House for 4 nights 6/4/26-6/7/26. It was our first visit to Provincetown. The location is great. We drove and they had parking available on site. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. We saw a comedy show in their event room, which was a ton of fun. Had dinner and drinks one night at their restaurant, food was great. We were a tad nervous after seeing some mixed reviews online prior to our visit. You can probably ignore them. New active owners took control of operations in April 2026. Two wonderful women who were very active on site every night, training staff, and making sure every visitor was well taken care of. We are planning to make Provincetown an annual vacation and would definitely stay at Pilgrim House again.

Attended the "Vexed" sapphic Wicked spoof during the first pride weekend of June. We arrived thirty minutes early, as instructed by the tickets and the website, but the show started significantly late (seated around 7:30pm for a 7pm start). It was an unexpected wait for a ≈6:30pm arrival, but staff informed us there was another show happening before when we arrived. Entertainment in the show and the piano bar afterwards was absolutely awesome—great vocalists, talented musicians, and interesting writing. We had a good laugh and an enjoyable time singing along throughout the night. The food was mediocre at best and the service from the wait staff left more to be desired (had to ask several times for aioli that was supposed to come with fries, service to our table felt like an afterthought). The margherita flatbread was nothing special, the three cheese ravioli had decent sauce, and the bread basket had nice butter, but had a baguette not cut all the way through. Presumably the owner/manager was truly excellent and engaging with the patrons, we appreciated her conversation and checking in with us throughout the night. Overall, the food was overpriced and underwhelming for what it promised, but the entertainment was top notch. I would perhaps recommend dinner elsewhere and stopping by for drinks instead.
