أسبوع الدببة هو أكبر أسبوع في صيف بروفينستاون للدببة والجراء وثعالب الماء والرجال الذين يلاحقونهم. لمدة سبعة أيام في يوليو، تكون قمة كيب كود مليئة باللحى والقمصان بلا أكمام، وتكون بيوت الضيافة ممتلئة قبل أشهر، وتخطط حانات المثليين في المدينة لتقويمها بأكمله حول الحشد. إنها ليست مهرجانًا واحدًا خلف بوابة واحدة. إنها سيطرة على المدينة بأكملها، مما يجعلها رحلة مثليين سهلة للمرة الأولى: تخرج من الباب وتكون فيها.
