Lafayette Hotel

Super cute!

While the service was great and the hotel itself is aesthetically interesting, my friend and I didn’t particularly enjoy the stay as it doesn’t match the price point. There’s no elevator to the rooms and you need to lift your luggages through multiple stairs if you’re on the 2nd floor in the back. And there’s not enough free amenities - for about $850 for 2 nights there’s barely anything other than the pool and a bit of games to play in the gutter. And no tissue in the room plus no filtered water. The room itself also felt really old and there’s a smell in the room that didn’t disappear even after we opened windows and doors. We also wanted to check out the jazz room but the music choice of country is not of our taste. Lastly I wonder if it’s safe if you can just walk into the hotel and straight to the room area with no security at all. Overall it felt like we could have stayed somewhere else and only come here for a drink.

The team at the Lafayette Hotel, especially Ron went above and beyond to assist with special requests for a friend's birthday. Definitely would recommend this establishment.

This place is beyond amazing. The staff is pleasant. Every inch of the place is stunning. The rooms are small but manageable. Comfy beds. Amazing decor. Cannot recommend enough.

Love this place!! We ate at the dinner, we had French toast, delicious!! Also, a shake, YUMMY!! 😋😋😋😋 The only thing that sucks about this place is parking. We took forever to find parking.

Safe and a fun place to stay at

I want to preface this by saying that I’ve come here many times to enjoy the amenities but I never actually STAYED a night here. Well a couple weekends ago I did, and I have to say, I will never be staying here again. If you want to come here to hang out for a day, you’ll be fine. But staying in a room is whole other issue. The hotel is shady and must be running some time of scam on innocent, unsuspecting tourists. When we checked out, we noticed on the final bill that we were being forced to pay $500 for a “broken TV”. Which is INSANE bc none of us laid a FINGER on the TV. When we asked what makes them think we broke it, they said “there are scratches on the screen”. Well nobody touched the TV once so how could we have scratched the screen? Are they just talking about the minimal/minute scratches that procure on a screen over years and years of time? Who knows! All I know is, there are probably people out there that wouldn’t blink twice or question something like that on their bill. They might think, “oh maybe we did do something!” I wouldn’t be surprised if they tack this onto everyone’s bill from that room and other rooms too when people check out just to see who will pay it without making a sound. The TV was not noticeably scratched, nor was it damaged. It was fully functioning when we left. We fought it as hard as we could and still had to pay the money. I’m a just person and that’s why it’s so hard to be framed for something we didn’t do. I would gladly pay for a broken TV if I broke it. But that’s not what happened. Not to mention, they kind of do the bare minimum for the rooms. Only 1 roll of TP for a 2 bedroom bungalow, no hand towels of any kind in the kitchen cans no trash can in the bathroom. If you want to avoid being framed for damage you didn’t cause and any shadiness that might be occurring here, don’t bother staying here!
