Hyatt Place Virginia Beach / Oceanfront

We had a great stay at Hyatt Place Virginia Beach Oceanfront! The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the location was perfect. Being right on the beach and close to so many restaurants and attractions made everything so convenient. The room was comfortable, and the ocean view was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Virginia Beach!

As a Hyatt loyal member who stays at Hyatt properties frequently, I was extremely disappointed by the customer service at this location. The only employee who demonstrated professionalism and genuine hospitality was Sabrina. At check-in, I explained that I needed to shorten my stay by one night, and she advised me to wait until the day before checkout to make the change. When I returned, Maggie, who identified herself as the supervisor, was condescending and dismissive. She instructed me to contact Expedia and assured me she would note my reservation so the hotel could make the change once Expedia called. I spent over an hour on the phone with Expedia, only to learn that Amanda told them there were notes stating my request could not be honored. I wasted valuable vacation time because I was given incorrect information. While still on the phone with Expedia, Amanda consulted Courtney, the hotel manager. Instead of listening to my concerns, it felt like Courtney, Maggie, and Amanda operated more like a clique than a professional management team. They avoided eye contact, backed one another without understanding the situation, and made me feel dismissed rather than valued as a Hyatt member. On the morning I checked out early for my daughter's college tour, Sabrina apologized and tried to help. After I've waited for almost 30 minutes to speak to a manager as per Sabrina's instructions, Courtney(manager) came to the front desk, and took my name and number, promised to call me, and never did. Despite returning my keys a day early, I was never officially checked out and was charged an extra day for parking. The issue wasn't just the reservation—it was the poor communication, lack of accountability, and unprofessional behavior from management and staffs. I expected much better from Hyatt. About Properties: oceanfront, kids friendly, good breakfast, indoor pool extremely small can only hold up to 3pple at a time would serve best as a jet hot tub.

The room are nice big and clean, right next to the beach, customer service is ehhhh just ok The pool is a joke, you can barely fit 10 people in it

I love this hotel because sincerely this hotel has very clean rooms, the service was great, and the location was great. That means we can go to the balcony and see the roaring fighter jets over the sea.

Beautiful room and gorgeous views

The room was spacious but not the cleanest. Found various hairs and stains. The breakfast wasn’t bad though their food options were relatively limited. My biggest disappointment was with the front desk. There was a young woman with reddish brown hair that was extremely rude when we asked her to clarify some billing concerns, and I loosely quote “I can repeat the same words to you, but I don’t know how to help you understand.” As a frequent traveler and hospitality worker, it was a bit comical to witness such a condenscending response to a genuine concern. For that reason only, I would be wary of staying here again.

This hotel had bed bugs stayed from June5 to june 8th 2026 All my children and myself had bed bug bites.

Dear Sir/Madam, Despite our satisfaction with our stay last year, we have experienced significant dissatisfaction with your service this time. The behavior of the staff, the breakfast service, and especially the room cleaning have all been severely neglected. In fact, even though you stated that you accept pets, you have charged us an extra $100 per animal for cleaning. This is completely unacceptable, as it not only contradicts animal rights, but also your commitment to customer satisfaction. We will be staying here until Saturday, and it is impossible for us to continue under these conditions. We urgently request a resolution and the immediate improvement of this situation. We ask for your prompt action.

We loved it so much we booked another night. A special shout out to Queenie, Mike, Sabrena, and the night crew who made me the best cheese pizza.Thank you for your warmth and hospitality.

Fabulous breakfast Valet work hard. Takes awhile to get car

Great location. Nice rooms. Trying to get housekeeping services (during a 5 night stay) has been difficult. But overall, a nice hotel.
