Price is quite a bit higher than expected. Otherwise, very nice hotel and great staff.

Very disappointed in this hotel. With the name Childress it should not look like a 2 star facility. Not a good experience.

General Manager Failure to Honor Agreed Rate I am submitting this complaint regarding my extremely disappointing experience with Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lexington NW-The Vineyard in Lexington, North Carolina, under General Manager Courtney Pack. For years, I have consistently supported this hotel and brought recurring business and revenue to this property through stage plays, concerts, workshops, community events, special occasions, and entertainment productions. Many of my guests, performers, attendees, and out-of-town visitors have stayed at this location based upon my referrals and continued loyalty to the property. Earlier this year, I personally spoke with General Manager Courtney Pack regarding establishing a consistent discounted rate due to the volume of recurring business and reservations I have continuously brought to the hotel. During that conversation, I was informed and understood that a rate of $119 per night ($134.76 including tax) would be extended to my reservations moving forward. This understanding was later reinforced when I booked a March 14th–15th reservation, and management adjusted and reimbursed the invoice to reflect the agreed-upon rate of $134.76 (confirmation #60973793). I still possess the invoices reflecting the original charges and the management-adjusted rate. At no point during our earlier discussions was it explained that the rate was limited to only one group booking. However, after recently booking another reservation (#23019248 for June 26th–29th), I was informed that there had supposedly been a “misunderstanding” and that the rate was never intended for future reservations unless a formal LNR corporate account process was completed. I was also told an LNR account requires 100 room nights per year, which is confusing and unreasonable when this hotel only occupies approximately 88 rooms total. How can I realistically be expected to book 100 rooms for one event when the hotel itself only occupies approximately 88 rooms? This explanation directly contradicts both my understanding of our conversation and the hotel’s own previous actions in approving and adjusting the March reservation to the agreed rate. I sent a detailed email response on May 23, 2026, respectfully outlining my concerns and attaching documentation showing the previous approved rate adjustment. I sent an additional follow-up email on May 26, 2026. As of today, I have received no response from management. I am also an IHG Platinum Elite member and have stayed at multiple IHG locations where I received far better customer service, professionalism, communication, and appreciation than I have experienced at this property in my own hometown. It is extremely disappointing that other IHG locations have treated me with more value and respect than the hotel I have continuously supported locally for years. What is most disappointing is not simply the room rate itself, but the manner in which years of customer loyalty, repeat business, referrals, and professional support have now been disregarded and recharacterized after reservations were already made based upon the agreed understanding. As someone who has consistently chosen and promoted this property for years, I expected honesty, consistency, professionalism, and accountability. Instead, I have experienced confusion, contradictory communication, and a complete reversal of what had previously been honored and approved by management. I respectfully request that IHG Corporate review this matter thoroughly, including the documented invoices showing the management-approved rate adjustments, and work toward a fair resolution regarding my current and future reservations. We arrived for a late check in and stayed 3 nights with a very early check out. The night clerk on duty both at check in and check out, Heath was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered! Upon check in we walk in and apparently interrupted his doing nothing. We said we were here to check in he looked at us and said "and" no greeting no welcome. He scolded me because I put my room key by my phone and said now I have to do them over again. We got to our room, it was as described and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast had a great selection of eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, and assorted fruit, yogurt and pastries. We stayed 3 nights and they did not clean our room. We did not put the sign out to not clean it and I was a little disappointed in that service. We left at 3 in the morning to check out we had a very early flight and again we ran into Heath. He did not say good morning how can I help you nothing.! stated we needed to check out and his reply was well I am in the middle of something so you will have to wait. Again so rude! I have stayed at this hotel many times, but would think twice before staying here again.

They just need more friendly and welcoming staff. Only 1 lady at front desk was friendly, 3 other’s weren’t friendly or welcoming specially the night time ones. The AC was loud in a disturbing way. Other than that I think that it is a really good hotel.

Jay is the utmost charming host we have met at this location! He ensured a clean room with a view of the vineyards (Childress) and provided comfort! By this we mean, we felt like old friends, friendly banter and conversations good friends have when together. We enjoyed a great breakfast as well. We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years as members of the wine club and have always had great service and repore with the staff. Jay, can't thank you enough for your hospitality. This place was beautiful. The people people were very polite.

I was here for a two nights day to visit some friends. I got here in my room was immediately hot I thought maybe the AC was locked or something like that. It was 77 In the room .My wife talked to them and they said they would send the maintenance man up. That turned into us having to call two more times after we had to sleep in a room almost too hot to sleep in. They decided to change our rooms. So we lug all of our stuff all the way over to the other end of the hall when we're only staying here for one more night. Then my wife tells me her key they just made doesn't work. I just got back from being on my feet all day so I walk back down and get it fixed. Both of the bathrooms had mildew on the shower head both the old and the new room. Both at the ACs when they kicked up to high speed so don't like they were dying and they rattled. Half of the breakfast did not look very edible I have a pretty low standard. Pancake machine was broken coffee machine was spilling to the side at the end of the coffee Brew. I'm writing this review to remind myself never to come back. I came here during the pandemic for the same reason and got locked out of my room when the battery died on the lock for 45 minutes with 2 young special needs kids and a heat intolerant wife. There was no ac on in the hall. And half the amenities were shut down and we never saw warning. The manager ghosted me during the previous visit conviently after I left. I'm tired of this place.
