The worst hotel ever, disrespectful, they asked for more than expected. I absolutely do not recommend it.

When I stayed in a hotel with only boiling hot water coming out of shower I thought it could never get that bad. Until I stayed here. The shower wall was broken and there was glass crumbs all over the floor. My friend showered and didn’t notice until she was done so when she told me I went down to the reception to report the problem and the hotel clerk who was well spoken just an hour before pretended not to understand. He sent the bellman up to the room and when i explained him the problem he pretended not to see the glass which was very evident so when i pointed to the broken glass partition he stood confused. Neither him nor the clerk offered a room change so I showered on the towel. Next day I came to the reception where a young woman was working. Meanwhile, my friend got sick and couldn’t explore the city. I told the young woman that in order to compensate the danger of glass on the shower floor I would like to request my friend to check out at 6 pm so she could rest while we explore the city and then we would travel to Rabat later. The amount we needed to pay was 1157 MAD. She calculated something and showed me a price of around 1750 MAD (price for one night for 2 rooms + one more night in one room since she is staying until 6). I told her we would pay 1157 as in 578,5 for one room that was ok and 578,5 for the rest of the day, but that we refuse to pay for staying in such dangerous conditions. When she realised my request she started to get very rude, unprofessional and loud. She threatened to call police if we wouldn’t pay. After long half an hour of bargaining in which she called someone on the phone we reached the deal of paying 1157 MAD and staying in one room until 6 pm. When we were leaving she stopped me to ask me why didn’t I request another room. This is a multi-storey hotel, it should be expected that staff has decent communication skills without attacking when obviously wrong. In the end she apologized probably scared I would leave a bad booking rating (that was only after I pointed out that she nor her colleagues never apologized for the situation or offered a change of room). The hotel was generally outdated, the sheets seemed not fresh and the whole place (floor, hallway, bathroom sink, beds) seemed dirty.
