Rydges Sydney Central

We visited Rydges Sydney Central for breakfast during the school holidays with our two granddaughters. As soon as we arrived in the hotel lobby, the wonderful Duty Manager greeted us with gift bags for both girls, which absolutely made their day. It was such a thoughtful gesture and left us very impressed with the warm hospitality. The team in the restaurant was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. The buffet breakfast offered an excellent variety of fresh and delicious options, and the barista-made coffee was outstanding. Considering the price, the breakfast buffet offered exceptional value for money. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend the Rydges Sydney Central Buffet Breakfast to our friends and family.

Lovely staff great room onsite parking $58 a night or reserve a booking with a free parking package when they are available. I was able to be comfortable here. Thank you Rydges see you next time.

They also take this feedback and improve the administrative process. ~~~~~~~~ The one star is given to the service. I have spent weeks to check with their hotel staff on clarifying the charges they deduct from my credit card, and still got no solid response. Basically I did not consume any items in the room but there’s a AUD 5 per night charge put on the bill, and what’s more, I should have 3 nights credit of no-cleaning incentive given by the hotel, which I only used part of it in their Surry hill bar and should still have surplus. I asked the hotel to refund the deducted amount but then there’s no feedback and follow up from them. Aside from this, the hotel location is great, 5mins walk to train and metro and light rails. Room is mostly clean though they may have missed to replenish the tissue roll after cleaning. the sauna room is very good to kick your fatigue away.

The location is fantastic. A few min walk from Central and Surry Hill. Not far from CBD. It has a him, a swimming pool where one can actually swim, a sauna. Rooms are spacious and no-nonsense. Minibar is way overpriced though. Beds are too soft and, in our room (1003) there was a constant humming at night whose source remained unknown. It is an excellent family-friendly hotel. We are a couple, but we loved the fact that parents can take kids to the swimming pool… which then is very noisy. I suggest swimmers to go to the pool at 7 am. In the evening, go to the sauna. Kids don’t use it! The biggest problem is the elevator. It can be overbooked and you end up waiting for 5 minutes before going up or down. Horrible time is around 8 am… Overall, I liked it. But I like kids 🤣

So every time I got back to the hotel room the bed was found with sheets barely even on the bed making it uncomfortable. Also, the aircon is in a horrible place and there is no fan which leaves the experience of uncomfortable sleep.
