Funky Town

Chunxi Road pedestrian street is a vibrant and highly illuminated square and street in the sole downtown Chengdu. In some way it reminds on NYC Times square with huge LED displays, commercials, 3D sculptures, robots serving people in kiosks,...etc. It is certainly interesting and point is as you might guess coming at night. Shops and department stores are open till late, as well many eating options around

Bustling and lots to shop and wander around....find your oan favorite restaurant, shopping, entertainment.

It feels like Nanjing East Road in Shanghai. However, it feels less extravagant.

2026.04.09 🐼 Climbing the wall, Chunxi Road Last stop, final sprint, the most... the best place to shop, the most fun to browse, the place to buy the most things, the most satisfying place to spend money 💲😘😍 Mainly because things here are very affordable, you can buy relatively cheap souvenirs, suitcases (some members of the tour group bought a regular 28” for RMB 280, and a beautiful 26” for RMB 350), clothes for RMB 100 for 3 or 2 pieces, or RMB 99 per piece, especially women's dresses, you simply can't buy them at this price unless you buy them online. Shengshi Jingcheng Impression Hot Pot Dinner was at a hot pot restaurant on this street, eating all-you-can-eat hot pot and watching a face-changing performance. After dinner, there was still time, so if you didn't buy enough, there was one last round of shopping spree 😁🤣🤣
