Foul smelling rooms. The AC emits a strong, foul, stagnant odor. Any time the AC was running, the entire room quickly filled with the smell. Even when I turned it off, every night at the same time the smell would fill the room like a timed “leak” of disgusting air, which you have to endure. It felt hard to feel comfortable and unwind in the room as you constantly feel sick. must be bad for ventilation and health inhaling that. I had to keep the AC switched off entirely just to avoid the smell. Prices change drastically. When I was extending my stay, they suddenly increased the price to from £55, to £120 per night! Nearly doubling the price overnight for the exact same room felt exploitative and opportunistic, like they were taking advantage of customers. I needed to last minute extend my stay, and would have had to pay over 2x the price. Be wary of this if you plan on extending your stay by a few nights, the pricing seems to change drastically. Rooms are absolutely tiny for what you’re paying. You can get better value for money at many other hotels in Hong Kong. Absolutely tiny bathroom. The tap is badly positioned so when you wash your hands the water splashes onto you instead of into the basin. I ended up with water soaking my clothes several times just from normal use. Not something you would expect from a properly designed hotel especially for the price you are paying.
