Hakuba Tokyu Hotel

A classic, local landmark hotel. It has a grand, imposing feel, and you can see the effort put into things like the fireplace and hammocks, but the food and service aren't particularly noteworthy. It's a hotel where you can stay with peace of mind. Due to the location, activities are weather-dependent, and it's a shame the weather wasn't better.

I was overwhelmed by the dignified Swiss chalet-style building that made me feel like I had truly arrived in a town in the Japanese Alps, and the staff who greeted me from the moment my car approached the entrance. The high-class furniture and furnishings, the large windows and balconies of the clean and bright rooms offering views of the Hakuba Three Peaks and the vast, lush, and perfectly manicured lawn. The French dinner and breakfast buffet that allowed me to enjoy the four seasons of Shinshu with all my senses, and the warm and refined hospitality of each and every staff member—I felt that all of these elements blended together in perfect balance to create the "Hakuba Tokyu Hotel" brand. I was able to fully enjoy both dinner and breakfast in the elegant atmosphere of the main dining room "Chamonix," along with the blissful flavors. It is several levels above Kamikochi Empire and Akakura Kanko. Thank you very much to all the staff. I would definitely like to stay here again in the future.

The exterior has a historical feel, but I was touched that the staff came to the parking lot to carry our luggage! Our room was a Deluxe Alps Twin, and I was soothed by the view from the balcony overlooking the garden. The coffered ceiling gave it an elegant feel. The toilet and sink were very easy to use and clean. The slippers were the best quality disposable type I've ever seen, sealed in a non-woven fabric bag, which impressed me again. The tea provided was expensive TWG tea bags, and the amenities were also good. The croissant waffles at breakfast were delicious. It's a bit far, but I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel was very convenient for sightseeing and made the stay itself enjoyable. You can wait at the entrance and be taken to tourist spots by shuttle bus or car, so getting around is not a problem. Renting a bicycle and enjoying the peaceful rural scenery around the hotel was also a great experience. The food was delicious. It was a French-style kaiseki meal, and the elegant flavors were enjoyed in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. The recommended yuzu liqueur was also delicious. Breakfast could be enjoyed on the veranda, making for a pleasant start to the day. I also liked the large garden covered in grass. Sitting on the bench and feeling the cool breeze was very comfortable. There was an ocarina concert in the evening. I thought this hotel offered not only convenient sightseeing but also wonderful hospitality, making the time spent at the hotel enjoyable.

I had been visiting Hakuba for 25 years, but this was my first visit in four years since I quit downhill mountain biking. Every year I camp or sleep in my car, but this time I brought my wife, who was visiting for the first time in 20 years... I chose the Hakuba Tokyu Hotel for my wife to experience the atmosphere of Hakuba and create memories. The building's exterior and interior were fitting to the familiar Hakuba location, and the rooms and views were calm and sophisticated. Delicious dinner, hot springs, and the view of the lawn courtyard and the Hakuba mountains through the glass of the lobby. The clientele and the atmosphere during our stay were excellent, and the staff's service was smart and left a very good impression. I am grateful and very satisfied for the wonderful time we spent together, creating lasting memories.

We've once again been taken care of at the Hakuba Tokyu Hotel this year. The tall trees in the garden have been pruned, and the Hakuba mountain range is now clearly visible from every room. We'll definitely be back next year! (lol)

Attention to detail was evident in every aspect, making for a truly comfortable experience. The French dinner exceeded my expectations; each dish was beautifully presented, allowing me to fully enjoy the ingredients of Shinshu. The timing of the service was also exquisite, making for a truly special experience. The hotel's high-quality hospitality perfectly complemented the charm of Hakuba's rich natural environment, making it a hotel I sincerely want to visit again.

This hotel is perfect for families of three generations to enjoy a pleasant stay.

A beautiful spacious hotel surrounded by lush nature. Service was top tier from the moment we stepped onto the property. We had some questions about the spots we wanted to visit and they were so knowledgeable. The morning buffet was decent - had a large variety of western and eastern food choices that were consistently replenished by staff. On one of the nights, they had an ocarina concert, which added a unique twist to our visit. I had no idea was an ocarina was - it’s a type of vessel flute, a wind musical instrument!
