Was Rezensenten sagen

Visitors praise the APA Hotel Shinjuku Gyoemmae for its excellent location, with easy access to subway stations and nearby attractions like Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, and many find the breakfast to be very good. However, a common complaint is that the rooms are very small, making it difficult for two adults with luggage to move around freely, and some guests report issues with noise from outside.

Convenient location, great service. Super tired from a business trip to Tokyo, so I tried Qingya Pavilion's in-room service. The girl came directly to the room, no strange charges, super attentive service, perfect privacy, and even though I don't understand Japanese, it went smoothly. I went straight to sleep afterward. Highly recommended! TG @meiyou06 #Osaka #Tokyo #JapanIn-roomService #Osaka #JapaneseBubbleBath #OsakaCulture #Tokyo #TokyoIn-roomService #JapanAffairs

It was great because of the affordable price, proximity to the station, and Shinjuku Park right in front. There is also a large public bath. When you enter the room, translated information appears on the TV screen, so you can easily get the Wi-Fi password and hotel details.

I booked a three-night stay, and the experience was absolutely terrible. First Night: Strange noises kept coming from upstairs all night, like dripping water or chairs being pulled. The noise continued until 2 or 3 AM, making it impossible to sleep. I had to go to the front desk in the early morning to ask a staff member to check on the problem. The young female staff member at the front desk listened to a recording from my room and also found it strange, so she accompanied me back to my room on the 5th floor to investigate. After checking, they found that the noise was coming from the air conditioner in the ceiling. The staff member helped me adjust it slightly and offered to change my room the next day, but I needed to bring "all" of my luggage to the front desk at 10 AM to "check out," and I could only get the new room key from 3 PM onwards. Second Day, 10 AM: Because I had a lot of luggage, in the rush, I accidentally left my room key and 900ml of Meiji milk from the refrigerator in the room. I immediately sought assistance from the APA front desk staff. The APA staff member on duty this morning was a slightly older woman. She gave me a spare key and asked me to retrieve my room key and milk myself. After retrieving my belongings, I asked her if she could store the milk as well, as it needed to be kept refrigerated. She said it was fine, so I left the milk with my other luggage at the hotel and left. At 10:30 PM, I returned to the hotel, obtained a new room key from the front desk, and retrieved my luggage. I noticed that the APA male staff member had taken the milk from the same spot (at room temperature) when retrieving my luggage. I immediately asked him if the milk had been refrigerated, and he replied no. I immediately pointed out the "store below 10 degrees Celsius" instruction on the milk carton to the APA male staff member. He hesitated for a moment, then used a translation app to say: "Although the milk wasn't refrigerated, the area where the luggage was stored was exposed to air conditioning, so the milk should be safe to drink." Since the APA Hotel staff member suggested I drink milk that had been left at room temperature for more than twelve hours, I asked him if the APA Hotel would be responsible if I experienced any discomfort after drinking it. The male staff member immediately replied via translation software: I had voluntarily agreed to the terms and conditions of my check-in and luggage storage, which stated that refrigerated items could not be stored. However, I had confirmed with the female staff member that morning that it was permissible before handing over the milk, which needed to be removed from the refrigerator for room changes, to the hotel for safekeeping. Unfortunately, I entrusted it to the wrong person. Due to the loss of my property, I requested compensation from the APA Hotel, asking them to replace the spoiled milk that had been left at room temperature for twelve hours with a new carton. The male staff member refused, stating that he apologized for his colleague's misunderstanding but reiterated that APA would not be responsible for the loss of guests' property. I reminded him: (1) The room's abnormality was not my intention and was a management problem of the APA Hotel. The causal relationship is indisputable. If the APA Hotel room hadn't had a problem, I wouldn't have needed to change rooms, and the milk wouldn't have spoiled. (2) The female staff member in the morning acted improperly, giving guests incorrect information and making false promises, which she then failed to fulfill, resulting in the loss of the guests' belongings. Unfortunately, even after confirming with her supervisor, the male APA staff member gave the same answer: APA Hotel is not responsible for guests' lost belongings. This wasted 30-45 minutes of my time explaining the situation to them in the lobby. Standing in the lobby with a suitcase, three bags of duty-free goods, two reusable bags, a backpack, a 2L bottle of water, and 900ml of room temperature milk, I was extremely burdened and had nowhere to turn for help. They repeatedly suggested I go back to my room to put my things away, each time telling me to "just a moment please" and wait in the lobby. After they discussed it themselves, they still came to no conclusion; their answers were not drastically different, but exactly the same. If that's the case, why leave me waiting? In light of this, I asked the staff if there was any formal channel for filing a complaint, but they were evasive and unwilling to give a direct answer, their attitude was utterly shameful. Since there was no formal channel provided, I asked the male APA staff member for the employee's name and employee number, indicating that I would file the complaint myself. The male staff member immediately asked which colleague's information I needed. I replied: the female colleague from this morning, you, and your male supervisor who has been seeking advi
