Daiwa Roynet Hotel Yokohama-Koen

The location is convenient, the room is clean, and I would like to use it again.

I used this hotel to watch a baseball game. It's close to Yokohama Stadium, so I was able to relax. I could shop at the hotel and then rest in my room, which was helpful on a hot day. There's a Lawson convenience store on the first floor, which was very convenient (be aware it gets crowded after games). However, as others have mentioned, the soundproofing isn't great. I could sometimes hear noise from the next room. Since the only issue is the soundproofing, I plan to use this hotel again in the future.

Located between JR Kannai Station and Nippon-Odori Station on the Minatomirai Line, the location is conveniently situated. While both are on flat ground, the hot weather during my visit made the walk feel quite long. Paid parking is available, so driving is a good option in the summer. It's close to Yokohama's main attractions, right next to the baseball stadium and Chinatown. There's a convenience store downstairs, making the location very convenient. Besides the convenience store, the first floor is mostly public space. Perhaps due to the historical site renovation, the overall feel is classic and grand. The lobby is on the third floor, offering a wide range of amenities – a thoughtful touch for travelers! The rooms are spacious with large bathrooms, making for a very comfortable stay. Paid self-service laundry is available, making it suitable for long-term stays! The buffet breakfast is highly recommended as an add-on. It's served in the Italian restaurant on the second floor, featuring delicious French toast, freshly ground and mixed lattes, and of course, salads, bread, curry, karaage chicken, and more – a wide variety of delicious options! Overall, I really liked this place. The exterior, being a renovated historical site, was elegant and sophisticated, and the interior offered so many thoughtful amenities and services. Highly recommended!

There are two train stations nearby, Nippon-Odori Station on the Minato Mirai Line and JR Kannai Station, but both are a 10-15 minute walk away, so they're not exactly close. At night, the area is quite dark and a little eerie due to the lack of shops, but it's relatively quiet. Chinatown and Motomachi are within walking distance. The hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor, and there's a Lawson store on the 1st floor, which is very convenient. The soundproofing is decent at night. The view from the window is of Yokohama Stadium and a park, which is quite nice! The lobby has many amenities, but no rental stuff. The room space is fine for one person. Overall, it's clean, but there was a terrible buildup of dirt on the showerhead 😅😅 and some hair on the bed. Hopefully, this can be improved.
