I stayed for six nights at Cocoloco Resort, and I honestly have no complaints. The family running the business is incredibly kind and approachable, and the staff are always smiling, attentive, and eager to help. My room was fantastic—the bed was firm, just the way I like it. The AC and everything were in perfect condition. I slept like a baby. Thank you again for accommodating me—I truly appreciate your warm hospitality. I would highly recommend Cocoloco, and I would definitely come back.

Nice chilled place on the beach for drinks. They do serve good, but we didn't have any, however it looked and smelt good! Drinks were amazing and nice to relax on the beach

A beautiful place, somewhat secluded from the hustle and bustle of stations 1 and 2. The rooms are very clean, and the staff is eager to fulfill every wish. Even after I had a lot of trouble with Agoda, the reception helped me resolve the issue. Not to mention the delicious meals that the chef prepared for me every day. I will definitely come back if possible.

The worst experience we've had on all our travels. Rooms are advertised as deluxe rooms, which they are in no way remotely comparable to. For example, the air conditioning is as loud as a jet engine taking off, so sleep is impossible. Instead of a separate blanket, you get a scratchy wool blanket without a cover, which you have to pay extra for. At breakfast, you do get a menu to order from, but it turns out there's practically nothing included. For instance, you have to pay 240 pesos for a second small cup of coffee. It's a real shame about this place, as it has a fantastic location.

I used the bar, not the hotel. The food was very average and very expensive. In fact, it was the most expensive in the area! The next day I bought an iced coffee... What a disaster! 80% water!

We had originally booked for 11 nights through Agoda, but after 3 days we left early due to unbearable conditions. It's worth mentioning, however, that after several emails, we later received a refund for the remaining nights. We went to the hotel in person to reserve a room for 11 nights with the option to pay the next day. They assured us of the reservation. The next day, of course, the room was no longer available, and they offered us a different room. It was more expensive and far below the category we had originally booked. Since the price seemed exorbitant, we booked the room online directly with the hotel, where it was €12 cheaper per day. Superior Deluxe with mountain view! 64 steps *which didn't bother us*. But in case of problems... there was no phone in the room. The room was small with an air conditioner that was unbearably loud. Without the air conditioning, it was unbearably hot and humid. No storage space in the bathroom except on the toilet cistern, toilet seat broken, shower with no water pressure and no temperature control, shampoos had to be placed on the floor, TV picture was terrible. Rooms were cleaned every three days, but toilet paper should be thrown in the open wastebasket. The refrigerator only worked when someone was in the room. One night cost us €57 including breakfast! Breakfast: A menu with various items, but not everything was included. Aside from a cup of coffee, there were no other drinks with breakfast. We each ordered an omelet with a slice of toast and a coffee. My husband asked for two more slices of toast (because the portion was very small) and a second coffee. This cost us almost €5. The positive: There was a fantastic view of the sea. That made our mood a little better. After not being able to sleep the second night due to the extremely old and noisy air conditioning, we wanted to change rooms. Unfortunately, they only showed us Superior Deluxe rooms, which were no different from ours. That was the end of it for the ladies at reception. When we requested a higher room category, we were told there were none available. All rooms were booked. However, online we could see that there were more rooms available. The friendly ladies at reception offered an explanation for this as well. There must have been an error on the online travel agency's end. On our third sleepless day, we left for another hotel and were quite happy with our choice. We had a standard, clean, large room with two beds, quiet air conditioning, and a large, modern, and functional bathroom. We simply cannot understand how the Cocoloco received such positive reviews. After extensive research and visits, we found the Cocoloco to be one of the worst and most expensive hotels. Neither of us are particularly demanding or stingy, but the price should reflect the actual value of the accommodation! At €30 per night in the Philippines, it would have been acceptable, but not at almost €60. The price/performance ratio is completely off. The bar with its view, as mentioned before, is very nice, but far too expensive. Guests have to pay for billiards, like many other things there. The staff is quite unmotivated, and their friendliness seems forced. The location is quiet yet not far from the hustle and bustle, which we found very pleasant. The non-adjustable plastic loungers on the beach are insufficient for all guests and are quite old. Incidentally, "Superior Deluxe with mountain view" at Cocoloco means you see an overgrown wall. The receptionists were polite but couldn't do anything other than forward our written messages to management. So, I would absolutely not recommend this hotel! It's a real shame; it's located in paradise, but the greed for money with minimal effort and deception unfortunately ruins everything! We would never set foot in there again.
