Rooms are clean and the service staff are all very polite and helpful. Would recommend to anyone I know looking for a stay in Timog area.

Initially placing a feedback. Lounge Culture is chaotic. Some employees are actually loitering in the Lounge. And they are the Noisiest which is a shame for guests waiting to be checked in. Solemn Culture in Lounge is 5 star. And achieving this should be cheap. You cannot even spend a peso. We landed in the hotel at 9:26am. It's already 10:14am. We are still waiting.

ROBBED HOTEL The ambiance of SOGO Hotel was okay, we stayed there for 3 days in a row. Starting from Oct 17-20 2025. First day we were in 715 executive room, it was okay, but the TV was not functional. My boyfriend and I went there so we requested if there was a room available for a smart TV because other sogo hotels have smart TVs. So we waited, we were moved the next day, we downgraded to a deluxe room which is cheaper compared to the executive room. So before that, my boyfriend and I left on Friday night because we were partying with friends before we left, my bf had money worth 28k, we left it because we were sure that no one would break into our room. Then after we kept quiet the next day we tried our request if we could move and they granted it but when we were already carrying our stuff from 815 to 720 I noticed that their door could be opened even without a key card one of the red flags I noticed so we called them why was that they said they would come tomorrow for maintenance because they said it would only be in the morning. Then my bf and I left because there are many places to eat here on Timog Ave. Then we asked how it wasn't safe with our stuff because it could be opened even without a key card. They advised us to just lock the door leading to our room then they didn't have a key they just gave us advice that it was a coin only to open. Then this is what we did. And the word that was said to an attendant was that no one was coming in so we were relieved. After we went out for a while it was time for us to leave because it was Monday and my bf and I still had school. We counted his money in my bag again, 25k because we took 3k for our other expenses like our food and drinks, we only counted him as 18k so we lost 7k. Then when we called to see a copy of the CCTV, they couldn't show us anything because they said they don't have CCTV in their hallways, they only have CCTV in the reception area which is another red flag for me. So if you stay, it's better to stay somewhere else because your belongings are not safe on Timog Ave. Our only mistake was that we were reassured that no one would come after us because it's okay at another branch of Sogo Hotel. Until now, they haven't updated us about that, their visor said that Manny was the only name they gave us. I know they won't be able to return it. I feel like what happened to us was an inside job. So to everyone who stays here, keep your important things like money safe, if you go out, it's better to just bring them.
