Le Gayot

There were six of us. We were completely ignored by the staff on the terrace for 20 minutes. We then strategically moved to a table closer to the bar. Ten minutes later, nothing had changed; today they simply refused to serve us: neither our group nor other, less patient customers. Avoid at all costs.

One star because zero is impossible. The experience offered here isn't worth dwelling on. I'll still take the time to list things for you: - Greeted by a drunk waiter - 25 minutes of being ignored Result: we got up and left for another terrace. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Terrible, disgusting, avoid at all costs! The waiters are running around everywhere while those behind the bar are just casually rolling their cigarettes!! Extremely unfriendly, unpleasant! A poor welcome, stared at as soon as I walked in…what is this? And who do they think they are?! HORRIBLE… The “manager” has something to worry about given all the negative reviews!!

I am very disappointed by my experience at Le Gayo. I went there with my mother, and we received a very poor welcome upon arrival. The manager spoke to us aggressively and contemptuously, which is completely unacceptable, especially towards an older person. Despite this, we decided to stay for a drink as we didn't have time to go anywhere else. Unfortunately, this only confirmed our negative impression: the prices are excessive, and the staff clearly lacks professionalism and respect. I find it unacceptable that customers are spoken to like that. In this profession, kindness and respect are essential. A self-assessment, or even training in management and customer relations, would be more than necessary. I absolutely do not recommend this establishment.

Seven friends and I came to the terrace of this restaurant/bar to get drinks and food. The waitress seated us at two very small tables, sufficient for a drink but not for a meal. I took the initiative to take an extra table behind me (knowing that the terrace was only half full) so I would have room to eat with my friends. The owner approached us in a completely unfriendly manner and told us we had to put the table back immediately or risk being banned from the terrace. I find this attitude unacceptable and will never return to this establishment. I strongly advise against it if you enjoy having drinks on a terrace without any hassle. Photo attached.

Frankly, I was very disappointed with the experience. We waited over 20 minutes without being served, despite several attempts to get his attention. The waiter walked past our table numerous times without even clearing the glasses of the previous customers… after a while, we got up to order directly, and were told rather curtly that we had to “wait at our table.” I can understand that it might be busy, but that’s no excuse for being unpleasant or ignoring customers. Judging by other reviews, this isn’t an isolated incident. We finally left, because I prefer to spend my money in a place that deserves it.

Waited an hour for a tarte flambée and 0.5 liters of water. Emphasis on waited, and received nothing. Constantly put off for 10 minutes at a time.

Diabolo without syrup and a 30-minute wait... Disappointing...
