I was here today for the second and last time – the bread is okay, but the service was incredibly unfriendly both times. When I asked about the ingredients, they rolled their eyes and made me feel like I was asking for the impossible. I certainly won't be "bothering" this bakery with my purchases in the future.

Hofpfisterei is issuing warnings to small bakeries for using the word "Sonne" (sun).

Everywhere in Berlin I see Hofpisterei bakeries. I go to Goethestraße in Berlin. All the breads are made with organic natural sourdough from Bavaria and baked in Berlin. There are at least 10-12 varieties of bread with a wide range of ingredients. I choose the whole-grain rye, made with 100% rye without any additives. I learn that the bread is weighed, the quantity is deducted during inventory, and then given to Berlin food banks or, if it's no longer acceptable, fed to pigs. Exemplary! I tried a piece at home—wonderful, just like from my childhood! The bread is baked fresh every morning. Anyone who doesn't want to eat the "junk" from the big bakeries will be very happy here! Your gut will thank you, because people have been eating well this way for over 100 years. I go here regularly.

High-quality baked goods. The selection isn't huge, but what is there is good. Very friendly and competent staff.

Friendly service staff, but €1.30 for a rock-hard, old bread roll (most likely from the day before) is outrageous.

The merchandise is first-class and the staff extremely friendly!!!

Unfortunately, I had to remove 2 stars 🌟. I keep running out of bread at 1 p.m., so sad 😢
