Das Wald-Hotel Peter auf'm Berge in Bielefeld – ein Ort zum Entspannen

Very nice and quiet place, friendly service and good food.

Amazingly friendly staff in the quaint surroundings of some rolling hills. The team is very down to earth, and the rooms quite spacious, with a quite recently renovated bathroom/shower it seemed. Nice beer at the bar and good food. Would visit again in a heartbeat.

A beautifully situated restaurant with a very special charm. Restaurant Peter auf dem Berge is particularly appealing due to its tranquil location in the heart of the forest – perfect for unwinding and an ideal starting point for walks or hikes. Olderdissen Zoo is also very close by, and towns like Bielefeld, Steinhagen, and Quelle are easily accessible, whether by car or on foot. The rooms have been modernized without losing their original charm – a successful combination of tradition and comfort. The food is also excellent: delicious and prepared with great care. A real highlight is "Grandma's Frying Pan," served in a traditional cast-iron pan – simply something special and absolutely delicious.

The hotel is beautifully situated on a mountain ridge, making it an ideal starting point for cycling and hiking. The hotel is a bit dated, but perfectly acceptable for the price. The service was friendly, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet ran out of food rather quickly. Dogs are allowed, and there is free parking right next to the hotel.

We just stopped here for a quick drink during our hike on the Hermannsweg trail. The service was super fast and unobtrusive, and at €10 for a large apple spritzer and a non-alcoholic wheat beer, plus tip, you can't go wrong. My son praised the spritzer as one of the best he's ever had.

Unfortunately, I can only agree with the negative reviews. The food was truly awful, and when I pointed this out, they simply said, "I'll pass it on." The place is run-down both inside and out, and lacks any decor.

Clean room, adequately furnished for the price, very friendly service. Unfortunately, somewhat isolated, inaccessible without a car or taxi, no pedestrian path along the main road.

The staff was very friendly, and the firm mattress was perfect for me. Unfortunately, that's the only positive thing I can say. The shower was missing a door, so half the bathroom flooded whenever I tried to use it. There was no hot water. After I asked for a different room, which I received without any problems, the shower issue was exactly the same. Again, one of the two doors was missing. At least the hot water finally came through in this room after what felt like an eternity. I didn't want to eat there. When I arrived, the kitchen door was open. While I was waiting for a member of staff, I saw a bird flying around in the kitchen. That completely put me off my food.

Clean, although a bit dated, but I think that suits the building. Everyone is very nice, the kitchen is clean, the food tastes great and is made with fresh ingredients.
