ibis Budget Dresden City

It's a technologically advanced hotel; almost everything is touch-screen. The new building and clean environment are positive features, but there are some shortcomings. Perhaps, although we included it in the package, there should at least be a trash can, two sets of towels if there are two of us, etc. It's ideal for sleeping overnight.

Perfect location and price for a weekend trip to Dresden. The hotel is centrally located right next to the Altmarkt Galerie shopping center and thus directly adjacent to a souvenir shop selling Erzgebirge folk art. An electric car charging station is less than a 5-minute walk away (HCR), and parking is no problem. The rooms are simple, clean, inexpensive, and perfectly adequate. The door is opened with a 6-digit code. The elevator (3rd floor) and stairs are easy to use. We skipped breakfast, as there are bakeries and cafes nearby that offer everything you need – the infrastructure is excellent. However, it was nice to have a look at the buffet. All in all, the perfect accommodation if, like us, you're looking for a decent place to stay in Dresden to explore the city on foot during the day and at night.
