Unfortunately, my wife and I were only able to stay one night, but they made such an impression on me over 36 hours that this is already one of my favorite hotels in the world. Building - 9/10; absolutely beautiful facade, when you think of a five star property in a historic setting, THIS is what you imagine. Only taking off one point because the internal layout can get a bit confusing. Location - 10/10; right in the heart of where you want to be in Dresden as a tourist. Five min walk in either direction takes you either to the heart of the old town, or to a modern shopping center with several more casual restaurants and bars in the area. Room - 10/10; Wow, beautiful room, high ceilings, large bathroom with dual vanity, plenty of extra space. We had just spent five nights at a similarly priced property in Prague and this room was at least twice as large. Just flawless attention to detail, the room looked brand new. Staff - 10/10; our bags were handled the moment we stepped out of the taxi and taken to our room ahead of us. The front desk staff were all extremely helpful, especially since we had a last minute flight change that necessitated printing several documents. Turn-down service was a nice touch as well. Again, understated elegance, which is what you expect from this brand. Dining - 9/10; the on-site bar is a bit stuffy and wasn't very busy when we went for cocktails. Felt a bit dark and empty. Not sure if it gets busier later, but there are plenty of options in the area. There are a couple other restaurants, one a bit pricier and one more casual, in the hotel as well. Breakfast was great, with quite a few options as far as food goes. I generally find the food at most five star breakfasts to be a bit too "delicate" for my liking, but I'd gladly eat breakfast here again.
We had an amazing in time in this hotel. First of all, the service was top notch, quick and easy check-in, friendly stuff, they made our room every few hours and a small fix that was needed in our room was dealt immediately. Plus they were comfortable with English! The spa was super nice, great pool and saunas, infra red room, fruit water and tea and come environment in general. Would appreciate a bit bigger saunas, but we went during the weekend at a time I assume most people prefer, and it was fine. Finally, the location is just great, very close to the Elba, pretty architecture around, maximum 10 minutes walk to main attractions, tram station just downstairs, lots of restaurants. Really recommend!
Stayed in this sensationell Hotel in Dresden, in the Deluxe suite with separate dining and living room. Superior hotel and service. Top notch! Time for a cake with gold accents on it. Tee time with an hourglass. Elevator had nice digital scenes with a dog and Graefin Cosel. Highly recommend this hotel for an remarkable stay in Dresden.
One of the best hotel in Germany. Top location close to x-mass market. Perfect breakfast. Caring for dogs. Excellent comfortable beds. The highest level of service sales and contact with guests. Another nice stay.
Excellent staff and quite helpful. Unfortunately we were told at checkin that we had a very quiet room (Junior Suite on floor 2 with Courtyard view). It was very noisy and there seemed to be celebrations in the courtyard even up until midnight each evening. Last night we had the windows open for airflow and could smell cigerette smoke from the people in the courtyard below our room. The Daily breakfast and service was excellent!
