Not 4 star hotel standards

The location near the trade fair grounds is perfect, however the rooms were not very clean (hair on the bed linen and in the shower).

The hotel is located right next to the Leipzig Trade Fair. Parking is free. An electric vehicle charging station is available. The rooms are a bit run-down, the furnishings are decades old, and the bathrooms, which include a bathtub, are in need of renovation. However, everything is generally clean and tidy. The TV is small, there's a minibar, and you can open the windows for ventilation. The location is a huge advantage (a 5-minute walk to the CCL shopping center and 5 minutes to the Sachsenpark shopping center), but the room rates are really high for what you get. The breakfast buffet is very extensive, the restaurant itself is modern and clean, the food is incredibly delicious, and the service is quick, attentive, and friendly.

Messe Leipzig is a 5-minute walk from the trade fair.

Convenient short walk to the exhibition grounds, very friendly staff, clean, good food, and a rich and varied breakfast buffet. Would gladly return.

I am very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. I booked through Expedia for €208, which, according to the booking site, included breakfast. However, upon check-in, it turned out that breakfast was not included and had to be booked separately. What's particularly annoying is that the same room would apparently have cost only around €75 directly through the hotel – including breakfast. I find this extremely unfair and lacking in transparency. Immediately after booking, I tried to cancel the reservation in order to book directly with the hotel – unfortunately, without any assistance whatsoever. Neither the hotel nor Expedia offered any real customer service or willingness to compromise. Instead, everything was simply passed back and forth. The room itself was clean, which I would like to acknowledge positively. However, there were several serious flaws: • No proper shower, just a very small and high bathtub – practically unusable for me • The toilet paper was almost gone, with no spare roll • The television is extremely small and barely visible from the bed • The pillows were of very poor quality – resulting in neck and headaches The mattress was okay, so I was at least able to get some sleep. The only real plus is the location: directly opposite the trade fair grounds – that definitely deserves one star. Overall, in my opinion, the hotel is nowhere near a 4-star standard. The price paid was completely disproportionate to the service. A real shame – I expected much more.
