Atlas

Atlas is the queer bar Cork gained after Chambers closed: an intimate spot on Marlboro Street, opened in late 2022 and run by drag performer Lucina Schynning. That ownership shows in the programming - drag shows, queer performance nights and a crowd that treats the room as community space as much as a bar. It is smaller and earlier-paced than Wilde, the city's nightclub on nearby Oliver Plunkett Street, and the two work naturally as a pair: drinks and a show at Atlas, then the dancefloor at Wilde. The same team also runs a monthly drag club night at sister venue Conways Yard, so check socials for what is on where in any given week. Marlboro Street sits in the middle of the city-centre grid, a couple of minutes from both Oliver Plunkett Street and Patrick Street, which makes Atlas an easy first stop on a Cork queer night out.
