This hotel is truly ideally located. However, location isn't everything. While the staff is very pleasant, the hotel is showing its age. The elevator was out of order several times (a real pain with luggage trying to get to the third floor). The decor is a bit dated, with old-fashioned paintings and somewhat kitschy marble. It's worth noting that rooms facing the street don't allow you to sleep with the window open due to the noise echoing. It really deserves a makeover and renovation.
The hotel's location was great. The hotel served as a good base in the middle of the old town. It wasn't a long walk to the funicular and bus stop. There were places to eat and boutiques nearby. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was adequate. The soundproofing of the rooms was not very good, there was noise from outside in the evening and the ringing of church bells echoed from 7:30 in the morning to 10:00 in the evening. This is not a big problem if you don't plan on going to bed early. The staff was helpful, although there was one person among them who couldn't speak English. However, we got our affairs taken care of, and the hotel pre-ordered an airport transfer for us for the early morning. We also got a breakfast package, as we didn't have time for breakfast due to an early departure. Overall, the stay was successful and I would come to this hotel again.
I don’t have the words to describe the sense of awe and the feeling this place leaves on its visitors. Built sometime in the 1400s, it holds so much history that stays with you even after you leave. The spaces were always clean and well organized. Every day the bed was made, used towels were replaced with fresh ones, and there was water and coffee available in the room. The double bed was excellent; the sofa bed, to be honest, was relatively uncomfortable. The location of the hotel is simply uniqu-right in the heart of the Città Alta, just 20 meters from Piazza Vecchia, with dozens of options for food and drinks nearby. There is also a covered parking facility about 200 meters away (not owned by the hotel, but it’s recommended to coordinate with the hotel to make a reservation). Breakfast was nothing extraordinary, but it was always well-stocked, with local flavors, prepared with care and freshness. The price was absolutely reasonable for the area. And I left the staff for last: in my opinion, they are the secret ingredient of this place’s success. Always present, always willing to help, always with a smile. Respect and kindness seem to go both ways in the relationship between staff and guests. I truly hope we will visit again!
We were here only one night, but very nice. Breakfast was good for such a small hotel. Staff was nice. Reception 24h. Everything functional, stylish. Good balcony. Perhaps only the darkening of the smaller window was not solved. There was an external shutter, but it could not be closed.
Stayed during the Easter period with other couples of friends (BEAUTIFUL), we were all really satisfied, HOTEL of superior cleanliness, very beautiful rooms with a view of the historic center, excellent breakfast, super super KIND staff.. this property enjoys an enviable location located in the center of everything.... We recommend it, see you soon
