Savhotel Aemilia Bologna

We had a very pleasant stay at the Savhotel Aemilia Bologna. The hotel's biggest advantage is its excellent location, just a 10-15 minute walk from the city center, through charming little streets. Even at night, there were no safety concerns when walking back from the city! The gym and terrace are also a real plus! The room was clean, and most of the staff were friendly.

We stayed at the Savhotel Aemilia Bologna with a small group in early July 2026 and felt completely at ease. First, the location: A hotel with parking (in this case, a parking garage) was important to us – and this is practically on-site. The hotel isn't located in the old town. It's about a 20- to 25-minute walk to Piazza Maggiore, depending on your pace. The location was ideal for our needs. However, those who absolutely want to stay right in the heart of the historic center will certainly find more suitable options. This is also the only reason for deducting a star – the surrounding area itself made a very positive impression on me. Check-in was quick and completely straightforward. The entire team was exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout our stay. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a call in our room shortly after check-in, politely asking if everything was alright. Our room was spacious, very clean, and tastefully furnished. We also really liked the bathroom. One small detail we particularly appreciated: laminate flooring instead of carpet – definitely the more comfortable option for us in a hotel. Our dog was also warmly welcomed and seemed to enjoy himself just as much as we did. The extra charge for him was absolutely fair. We also visited the rooftop terrace. While there was no table service during our stay, drinks from the bar could be taken upstairs. We can't comment on the restaurant. Our conclusion: If you're traveling to Bologna by car and are looking for a modern, well-maintained hotel with excellent service, this is the perfect choice. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Bologna. If you're newly in love and want to wake up in the narrow streets of the old town, you might find a more romantic setting elsewhere. ;-) For everyone else, the Savhotel Aemilia is an excellent choice. Beautiful, cozy and very clean hotel, with a good breakfast, we were completely satisfied with everything, I definitely recommend this hotel, it is also close to the center
