Very friendly welcome, great room in the heart of Amsterdam, yet in a pleasantly quiet area. I can highly recommend it.

I was happy with the hotel, conveniently located in the city center and with rooms that I found clean. The breakfast was average, and luggage storage was available before and after check-in. Bike rental is available directly at the hotel.

Good location. But the old building needs some TLC. A lot of TLC.

I absolutely do not recommend it. It's cramped, their service is terrible, you have to carry your own things, and the place is old and dilapidated.

Horrible experience! First they asked for payment, then suddenly demanded a €100 deposit without telling us in advance — when I asked, they just said “check the website.” The lift says it’s for 4 people, so 4 of us entered and it got stuck. My friend is claustrophobic, and we had to open the door ourselves to escape. Later they claimed there was a paper saying only 2 people should use it, but we never saw any paper inside the lift. it seems like they’re trying to cover up poor maintenance. On top of that, they refused to return our deposit. Absolutely unacceptable! While I was arguing to get my deposit back, other guests were also complaining because the same thing happened to them — they paid and then were asked for a deposit afterward. It’s clearly a scammy and unsafe setup. Avoid this place completely!

Highly not recommended. The room is practically unfurnished, old and dilapidated, and not very clean. It's only worth staying in for a couple of nights if you're looking for a cheap place. Because it's an old building, the soundproofing is terrible. You can hear other guests walking up and down the stairs and around inside your room – it's like they're walking right in your room. If you happen to be staying with other young people looking for a cheap place, they'll be making noise and talking in the hallway when they return around 2 AM. There will also be sounds of departing guests' footsteps and luggage in the early morning. People with poor sleep quality should avoid this place. There's no refrigerator, no view from the window, and the room is very small. If you mind these things, avoid this place.

I stayed here with my family during a short trip to Amsterdam. The pricing was very affordable for the hotel's great location. The rooms were clean and towels were replaced by the staff. The bathrooms were quite small but functional. The staff put me, my mom and my sister in a room next to my brothers so that we could be close. Both rooms had canal view, so we really appreciated this. We were on the 4th floor and there was no lift and very steep stairs. My younger and more fit siblings didn't have too many issues with this, but for my mom and I it was very exhausting and we had to plan our day to avoid going up and down too much. If you have limited mobility I'd recommend trying to get a room on a lower floor or booking with a different hotel. Staff was helpful and friendly. They allowed us to store our luggage at the hotel after checking out so that we could explore the city then come back to get our things before our afternoon flight. Overall, great price and location, we enjoyed our stay 😊

Absolutely unacceptable experience. We booked two rooms for €1200 for two nights expecting a comfortable stay based on the photos and descriptions online. What we got instead was shocking. The rooms were extremely small — honestly closer to prison cells than hotel rooms — and the beds were ridiculously tiny, not even suitable for a 10-year-old child, let alone adults. The reality looks NOTHING like the pictures shown online. The photos are clearly misleading, making the rooms appear spacious with proper beds, which is simply not the case. This is false advertising. When we raised this issue with the hotel, they refused to offer any refund or solution. We were left with no choice but to book another hotel at our own expense. Very disappointing experience, especially considering the price paid. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place unless you are prepared for a completely different reality than what is advertised.

We stayed at this hotel in March and had a great time. The room was basic but functional, the staff was welcoming and always available, and the location was excellent. I recommend it.

The only good things are the location and the fact that you get clean towels daily. The price is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what you get. Sleeping in a room on the 4th floor without an elevator (this is not mentioned anywhere). Dirty carpets on the stairs. Everything in the room is crooked. Broken window and drafty. Noise from guests and the employee does nothing about it. Having to pay an extra €10 pp for breakfast on site, while Booking charges €17 pp according to them.
