Príncipe Real Hotel

One of the most lovely hotels I've ever stayed in. So charming and the attention to detail is incredible. Book it. You won't regret it.

One of the absolute most hidden gems in a massive city that you will find. The staff is so well trained, impeccable in their attention to detail, and tends to your every need in a prompt fashion. Needless to say it is easy to be exhausted from the hustle and bustle of a big city, but the small oasis tucked on a side street that is the Palacio Principe Real is absolutely amazing. We were there for 3 nights and treated like absolute gold. Besides the staff and the food being incredible as well as the room not missing any details, the owners are absolutely incredible. They sat and provided us with their favorite recommendations, talked and gave us recommendations in Madrid, and even discussed the architecture of their own hotel. Would absolutely recommend this property over the Four Seasons and any other boutique hotel in Lisbon.

One of the nicest hotels in the Iberian Peninsula. An old palace renovated with excellent taste, a beautiful garden with pool and a restaurant open only for guests from early morning till late evening. Food healthy and delicious. The rooms huge, excellent bath rooms, and you can sleep with an open window, and that in the centre of Lisbon. Not cheap, but worth every penny

Everything at the hotel is perfect. The staff is friendly, assistive, and attentive but in a welcoming and muted way, they knew you immediately and sought to meet every need. The rooms are well appointed, unique and comfortable while the property itself is a hidden gem and able to meet all your needs. Each night that we returned from our adventures and were greeted by the owners and staff felt like coming home to an old friend. It was truly a wonderful experience.

This place is absolutely divine! Our experience unfolded over several days and around each corner we kept noticing "There is absolutely no detail left unattended to in the restoration of this place and no experience with staff which is not amazing. The only hesitation around writing such a rave review is we would like to keep this gem for ourselves!!

Very nice upscale historic hotel. 27 rooms available. Elevator to upper floors. Service is fantastic and well staffed. Spa massage available. Delicious, healthy food. Breakfast was included. New swimming pool is solar heated. A lot of seating areas inside and outdoors. Large lush lanscaped area around the pool. Quiet neighborhood. Included Internet available. Renovated keeping the historical charm. Owners are often at the hotel providing that special attention to detail and charm.

Exceptional hotel. Stayed for 3 nights along with 3 other couples & we all felt the same. Great location; incredibly service oriented staff; great breakfast & nice dinner options; great on staff masseuse; nice ambiance, grounds & rooms; and delightful owners who were very present.

We stayed at Palácio Príncipe Real for my husband’s mini birthday staycation, and wow—what an experience! The staff treated us like royalty, and the owners, Miles and Gail, are truly remarkable—kind, generous, and genuinely caring. They go out of their way to make every guest feel special.The room was dreamy, and the whole hotel oozes charm. Luxurious, magical, and unforgettable—Palácio Príncipe Real made our staycation truly sparkle!

Our stay at Palacio Principe Real was nothing short of magical — a true oasis in the bustling, sunny city of Lisbon. From the moment we stepped through the discreet door of this boutique gem, it was a feast for my eyes. A magical garden with chirping birds and a beautiful pool, with great attention to detail evident everywhere. The Palacio has been lovingly restored to its original architectural glory, and our room was immaculate and stunning, with soaring ceilings. The service and staff were second to none, and the food — in both presentation and quality — was beyond compare. Gail and Miles, the English owners who painstakingly restored and now operate the hotel, are fully invested in ensuring every guest’s stay is everything they’ve dreamed of. Their pride in this very special place shines through in every detail. The only problem, no other hotel will ever be able to compete with what we experienced here. We can’t wait to return!
