Axel Hotel Sky Bar

I went for a visit to the rooftop bar and honestly, it was terrible. I went with some friends and it was awful. The staff was incredibly racist. They kicked me off the rooftop for not being a guest, even though it clearly says online that there's a day pass and that you can even go up for free. And obviously, I was about to buy something, not just use the facilities. The staff approached us in a very dismissive manner, asking for our room number. When we told them we didn't have one, they basically yelled in front of everyone there that we had to leave… It's shameful, honestly, it's not worth it. Plus, it's very expensive for what is essentially a tiny hotel… I hope they improve their staff. I was lucky I didn't ask for a complaint form because I was about to…

Absolutely fabulous hotel, but the sky bar is lacking. The pool is cold, the cocktails are expensive (15€) and they closed the elevators to that floor at 22:45 even though it’s supposed to be open until 23. We partly booked this hotel because we wanted to be able to have a quick cool-off-dip before going to bed after warm days in the city, so it was very dissapointing heading back early for that and finding out it wasn’t possible. Amazing view though!
