Winter Pride Maspalomas ist das Gegenstück zum Maspalomas Pride im Mai: eine Woche voller kostenloser Shows, Partys und eines großen Umzugs in Playa del Inglés an der Südküste von Gran Canaria. Es hat sich inzwischen zu einem Schwergewicht entwickelt. Der Pride Walk 2025 zog laut elDiario.es rund 40.000 Menschen an, darunter Teilnehmer aus etwa hundert Nationalitäten. Die Anziehungskraft ist einfach: Spätherbstsonne und eine der größten Gay-Hotel- und Barszenen Europas.
Das Zentrum ist das Yumbo Centrum, das Open-Air-Einkaufszentrum im Herzen der Gay-Szene, wo die Hauptbühne jeden Abend der Woche kostenlose Shows bietet. Rundherum finden kostenpflichtige Veranstaltungen in Hotels und Beach Clubs statt: Poolpartys, eine White Party im Amadores Beach Club und Tanzabende. Der Pride Walk, offiziell die Marcha por la Libertad und normalerweise am Samstag, führt etwa anderthalb Kilometer von der Spitze der Avenida de Tirajana hinunter zum Yumbo, mit einem Truck, der die Künstler der Woche transportiert. Danach geht das Programm auf der Plaza de la Diversidad 'Darío Jaén' weiter.
Praktisch: Buchen Sie Flüge und Zimmer frühzeitig, denn dies ist die Hochsaison an der Südküste und die Preise steigen. Die meisten Gay-freundlichen Hotels sind nur wenige Gehminuten vom Yumbo entfernt, und der Strand sowie die Dünen sind etwa 15 bis 20 Gehminuten entfernt. Die Novembertage liegen normalerweise im Bereich von niedrigen bis mittleren 20 °C, warm genug für den Strand, und die Abende sind mild. Die Shows auf der Hauptbühne sind kostenlos, aber kaufen Sie Tickets für die großen Partys im Voraus; die beliebten sind schnell ausverkauft.
Die Ausgabe 2025 fand vom 10. bis 16. November unter dem Motto 'Shine bright, stay proud' statt, mit dem Pride Walk am Samstag, dem 15. November. Festivaldirektor Emiel Wijnberg nannte diese Ausgabe im guten Sinne 'brutal'. Die Ausgabe 2026 ist für Montag, den 2. bis Sonntag, den 8. November angekündigt, also in drei Wochen; prüfen Sie das offizielle Programm für die Uhrzeit des Pride Walks.
