Hotel NH Ciudad de Zaragoza

PROS: 1) Location If you want to explore Zaragoza without driving, this is the best hotel for you. We managed to walk throughout the whole city without having to drive. 👍🏻 There are tons of restaurants/Bar, a grocery nearby for your necessities and Burger King if you get tired eating local food. 2) Best View Our room had the best view (photo attached). I enjoyed looking at it every day. 3) Comfortable Beds The beds are very comfortable. 4) In-Room Safe There is a working safe inside the room. 5) Mini Bar There is a mini bar with a working fridge. They provided a complimentary sweets for my son when we arrived. 6) TV Channels International TV channels are available, which is great. 7) Clean Restrooms in the Parking Area The toilets in the parking area are squeaky clean and even come with free sweets. 😁 CONS: 1) PARKING‼️ Their parking is a NIGHTMARE. The spaces are so tiny that it is super hard to park. Once you manage to park, the next challenge is getting out of your vehicle (and vice versa). 🤦🏻‍♀️ Getting in and out of the Parking is also another story because it's only ONE-WAY‼️ 2) Parking Fee It costs €23 a night, which is very expensive considering the tiny spaces provided—especially for registered hotel guests. 3) ROOM SIZE‼️ We were really unhappy with the bed layout (photo attached). Seriously, NH? You placed our son's bed right at the foot of our bed and directly in front of the AC. My son got a bad stomach ache afterwards, so he had to sleep with us for the rest of our stay. The room was much smaller than expected for a family of three—THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH SPACE TO MOVE. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Most of all, it is unpleasant to have someone sleeping at your feet. 4) AC The air conditioning in our room struggled to cool the space, so we had to set it to high. The problem was the excessive noise. 5) Complimentary Water It would be nice if they provided bottled water based on the number of guests checked into the room. Housekeeping mentioned they only supply one free bottle per room. Seriously? Why be so stingy with water? 🤦🏻‍♀️ Breakfast Review: Breakfast was just so-so. The selection only looked large because they spread everything out across the entire buffet section. The layout was also confusing; there should be dedicated drink stations (for instance, one on the left and one on the right). The hot station only offered omelettes, sunny-side-up eggs, mini sausages, and super greasy bacon. There was no fried rice—only bread. The sweets station had limited choices as well. Lastly, there were two coffee machines, but they were extremely slow. Hotel Location & Parking Access: 1) Finding the Hotel & Underground Parking Entrance The hotel faces a street with tram tracks, so drive carefully! To reach the parking entrance, make sure you are driving on P.º Echegaray y Caballero with the river on your left (the hotel will be on your right). Once you reach the intersection with the bridge on your left, make a sharp right turn. My husband was freaking out because he thought I was telling him to turn onto the tram tracks, but I told him to trust me! 😂 Once you turn, drive slowly so you don't miss the entrance lane on Camino de Escobar, which runs right along the side of the hotel. 2) Getting Your Parking Ticket Pull your car up to the side and look for the small ticket machine. Press for a ticket; once it dispenses, the parking gate will automatically open so you can drive down. GOOD LUCK‼️ 😜 P.S. While doing this review I was surprised to see that they are 4 stars Hotel 😱 Hmmm.. with our experience this must be 3 stars only.

The hotel is very well located. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was varied. Parking was basic but available on site. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Highly recommended hotel, close to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar. We stayed in a family room and there was plenty of space for us and our little one. Good quality and comfortable. The only thing we didn't like was the parking: the entrance, the ramp, and the turns definitely require confidence. Something to keep in mind.

Ridiculously tiny rooms. Ancient mattress with springs digging into your back. I reported this to reception and they responded with a simple "thank you for the heads-up," without even bothering to find a different room. Extremely noisy air conditioning. The parking is a complete rip-off (€23/day), especially considering it's a tiny, cramped space. Both elevators have been seriously out of order since May. Honestly, one of the worst hotels I've stayed in lately. Breakfast was okay, verging on good.

A modern hotel, right next to Pilar, the receptionists are very friendly, totally recommended 👌 👍
