Really nice hotel in an older house in Gamla Stan. The bathrooms are fully modernized, but the hotel is (as many buildings in the area) not fully accessible if stairs are a problem for you. Rooms were nice and clean. Quite small area for breakfast, which was a standard Scandic breakfast with bake off bread, but generally a good selection. When busy, there are not many "time slots" or seats to chose from. Staff is friendly and professional. Our room was quite cold (in winter and it was -15 Celsius outside). Without any problems, the staff provided an overpowered electric heater, that was able to turn the room into a sauna in 5 minutes. I fully recommend this hotel.
Sweden values innovation, design, and sustainability. Stockholm mixes modernity with historic charm. Why visit: Museums, architecture, and archipelagos. How to visit: Fly into Stockholm Arlanda; public transport and ferries recommended. When to visit: May–September. Where to visit: Gamla Stan, Vasa Museum, Skansen. Investor insights: Cultural tourism and sustainable travel ventures thrive.
Lovely historical hotel. Staff lovely, especially the cooks. No tea and coffee facilities in the rooms (you can buy from the machine at reception), though there is a mini fridge. The location is perfect...close to public trains and ferry's, and located within the heart of Gamla Stan.
Small cozy hotel in a corner of Gamla Stan. A wide variety of breakfast options is available. Rooms are also pretty clean even though they are small. Had a nice welcome by the lady in the reception (on December 26th at about 12pm). And was able to leave baggages in the hotel’s baggage room even before checking- in. Thank you Scandic Gamla Stan🙋🏼♂️
We loved this location and found the hotel perfect for our two nights. We booked a superior room and had more than enough space. The ease of access to public transport and to walk around the wonderful old town was perfect. We would happily stay here again.
