Über diesen Ort habs queer basel

habs queer basel is the main LGBTQ+ association in Basel and one of the oldest in Switzerland, founded in 1972 as the Homosexuelle Arbeitsgruppen Basel. It runs social and working groups, including groups for women and non-binary people, rainbow families and newcomers, shares community information and represents queer interests in regional politics. It is an organisation, not a bar. For visitors, its website, habs.ch, is the most direct way to find out what is on in Basel's queer scene.

Definitely the last visit this year. Find it an upper cheek not to accept cash. At least there are still characters missing.

We were now in Basel for the fourth time in a row. Can meet most previous Absolutely follow comments. 2022 was absolutely the best, a Sensation. The current year 2024 a single disaster. Exactly as described earlier.

I was at a good five stands at the tattoo and had to say every time, at every stand, no cash, without me. This review had to be rewritten and adjusted at the request of Tripadvisor.

A tattoo is generally understood to be a military music festival. And with these expectations we went to the Basel tattoo again after several years (and great memories from 2013). As a visitor to the 2024 edition, I cannot understand why the Basel tattoo is still described as such. Expecting great military music with corresponding march performances, I was massively disappointed. 70% of the numbers have nothing to do with a tattoo. The performances were mostly ok, the OzScot International Highland Dancers were in a class of their own. But with a tattoo this troupe has nothing to do any more than children's choirs or Turkish folklore groups. If you want to attend a beautiful folklore festival with military music performances, the Basel Tattoo 2024 is the right place. However, those who primarily expect racy military music with a corresponding march performance will be badly disappointed here. Schade.

The Basel tattoo is disastrously bad. Only the Scottish bagpipers were good. Every other number is an American children's choir. Terrible. It has nothing to do with a tattoo, but nothing to do with it. Turkish sword fight act just laughable. You can also have this in the space inclusive club with the kitchen aids from the morning buffet. Too bad for the money. We're definitely not coming back.

so bad. If you want to see a children's choir, you go there. and Turkish swordsmen look better in an AI hotel in Turkey

I have been to the Basel Tattoo many times, but this year I found the program very successful. Especially the children's choir from America was a sensation. I also found it very good that animals were dispensed with, I have complained about that in the last 2 years. What is not possible, however, are with so many people, the few toilets, the operators now finally have to improve. Otherwise, the Basel Tattoo is absolutely recommended.

GREAT venue and fantastic show! All the groups were amazing and the group performances at the beginning, middle and end were spectacular. We attended the afternoon performance and it was phenomenal but next time we will attend the night show to take full advantage of the fireworks and lights. We also attended the parade, which was lots of fun. We were able to see the groups up close and there were lots of additional groups in the parade that were not part of the tattoo (lots of horses and children's groups). Would highly recommend getting tickets in advance. There were some empty seats but they were up high. We were sitting in the VIP section, but next time will spend less money and get the seats in the middle and close to the front of the arena. Probably better sound down there since you're in the thick of things. GREAT Time!

Was most pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Basler Tattoo 2018 and it compared very favourably with the Edinburgh Tattoo which we visited two years ago. The selection of military bands and the other featured items on this year's programme were most enjoyable and it is obvious that a lot of hard work went into last night's first performance. Anyway despite a lot of heavy rain the 7,500 spectators seemed to thoroughly enjoy the evening. The Tattoo is only on for some 9 days until 28th July and if you can still get tickets then I recommend that you try and get there as it is most definitely worth the trip.
