I had a supposedly "Vietnamese" tomato soup for 11 francs, which had an extreme amount of added sugar and bore no resemblance to Vietnamese cuisine. Vietnamese people season their food with herbs, spices, lime, etc., and don't drown the flavors of the ingredients in copious amounts of sugar. The main course, tofu in red Thai curry sauce with Thai eggplant, bamboo shoots, kaffir lime leaf, Thai basil, and jasmine rice for 34 francs, was also completely lacking in seasoning. The bland tofu desperately needed soy sauce, and the overcooked vegetables were equally tasteless. The small, protein-deficient portion wasn't filling either. Please don't try to cook pseudo-Asian food if you don't know how.

Sat on the ground floor at 8 on a Friday. Smallish straight forward, warm, aestechically pleasing dining room. Tuna ceviche and pulpo starters were the highlight. Cordon bleu was solid; the short rib was great. Reasonably priced wine and over all ticket for up scale-ish dining.

The restaurant impresses with its prime location in the heart of Zurich. Despite being very busy, the service during our visit was consistently friendly, attentive, and professional. The vitello tonnato was prepared with great care and impressed with its freshness and well-balanced flavors. The rolled cordon bleu with baby broccoli and crispy fries was also superbly prepared. The wine list offers a pleasingly curated selection and suitable pairings for a wide range of tastes. A particularly thoughtful touch was the thoughtful gesture with dessert: since we wanted to share the strawberry tart, we were generously served a slightly larger portion. The only slight drawback was the large number of tables on the ground floor, which made the seating feel a bit cramped at times. Given the charming historical building with its wood paneling on the walls and ceilings, it would be worthwhile to consider whether additional acoustic measures could further enhance the already pleasant ambiance. A truly successful dining experience – we will definitely return!
