Clayton Hotel Cardiff

room 303 would be the smallest room we’ve ever had in our lives The bathroom, you can only fit one person into Sheets on the bed has holes in them Air-conditioning makes rattle noise. They come up and cleaned the filters, but still make a rattle noise. Sheets on the single bed, don’t even fit the bed The other bed is only a double Some room in the restaurant having a cup of tea are right on the railway line and report waking King up at 5 AM in the morning Would I stay here and absolutely not?

Right in the middle of town, so always have somewhere nearby to eat or drink, but the rooms are quiet, beds are comfortable and the room is packed with water and great tea and coffee making facilities!

Great place to stay

Great location for the clubs & pubs, also walking into the main shops/shopping centre. Rooms were cosy small but clean, tidy and comfortable beds. Very happy with our stay here. Service was very good too. Only very small downside is you can hear the trains but earplugs or medium sleeper you will be ok

Great hotel next to the train station and centrally located. Clean and well maintained with a great breakfast

Clean hotel, with proximity to city centre. AC in the room we stayed didn't work properly and there was no way to get the room ventilated

We arrived early and they stored our luggage until we needed them. Online check in was easy and received an email when our room was ready - early as well. Glad I didn't pay for early check in. £10 an hour is extortionate! Easy to get key when arriving back at the hotel for the night. Had a room on the 7th floor. Rubbish view as it looked into a void at the front of the hotel. Bed wasn't very comfortable and only a double - prefer a king-size. Nice touch with bottles of water provided and some biscuits! Plenty of plug sockets which also has usb points in them. TV remote was dodgy no battery cover. Shower was adequate, towels and toiletries provided.

Doing only 4 stars as i believe there is always room for improvement: hotel staff at the restaurant and bar are very sociable, restaurant is well presented and it can be calm if you choose your place carefully, great views
