Leicester Pride
Über dieses Event
Leicester Pride is the city's annual LGBTQ+ Pride, run by the volunteer charity Leicester Pride (registered charity 1137667). Unlike most UK Prides it is held at the end of the summer: the 2025 edition was on 30 August and the 2026 one on Saturday 5 September.
On the day a parade sets off from outside Curve on Rutland Street at midday and runs about 1.7 miles through the city centre, past Jubilee Square and along High Street, to Abbey Park, where a free festival with stages, stalls and a dance tent runs until the evening. The festival has been held in Abbey Park since 2022. Organisers expected more than 20,000 people in 2026; no official attendance figure has been published.
The bars on Dover Street, Charles Street and Rutland Street hold their own parties that weekend, and in 2025 a free bus ran between Rainbow & Dove and the park. The 2027 date had not been announced at the time of writing; leicesterpride.com and the charity's social channels post it first.
