GRAB - Grupo de Resistência Asa Branca

GRAB — Grupo de Resistência Asa Branca is Ceará's historic LGBTI+ rights organisation, founded in 1989 and one of the oldest still-active gay-rights NGOs in northeastern Brazil. Based in Fortaleza, GRAB works on HIV/AIDS prevention and support, legal advocacy, anti-discrimination campaigns and community education. Since 1999 GRAB has organised the Parada pela Diversidade Sexual do Ceará, the state's Pride march held each June along Avenida Beira-Mar — now one of the largest Pride events in Brazil. For LGBTQ+ visitors, GRAB is the point of reference for local activism, community contacts and the annual Pride calendar.
