Inti Punku Machupicchu Hotel & Suiten

It's close to the station, the breakfast is delicious, and the price is reasonable. I was very satisfied.
Both rooms plus the bathrooms were pretty tiny. A hot shower wasn't always guaranteed. Breakfast is served 5am-8:30am. If you're catching the 5:30am bus to Machu Picchu there isn't really enough time to eat properly. Additionally 8:30am is very early for breakfast to finish. There's only 11 tables and the 2 women working there were slow at clearing the tables and setting it for incoming guests. We sat in reception for some time as there was only 1 chair for 2 people in the room - one of the receptionists had her 2 young children sat in the restaurant right next to reception with their phones/tablets blaring games/tv out. If you have to bring your kids to work, at least shut the door or give them headphones. One morning outside our room 2 maids were chatting loudly at 6:15am and then proceeded to watch TV on their phones until they got a call on their radio (which was unnecessary loud at that time of the morning) 😡 later that same morning a male worker was just standing by the rooms listening to loud music on his phone. I did ask him to be quiet but it shouldn't happen in the first place - the staff didn't seem to have any respect for the guests or just common courtesy. On our last night we realised 1 phone charger was missing from our room; it had been on the bedside table plugged in and then wasn't there. I went to reception and she got it out of her drawer. Via translate it turned out a co-worker had reported it? I asked what co-worker, where did they find it and why was it in her drawer when it should have been in our room - she couldn't answer that. Just one good point - there was air conditioning and a heater in the rooms.
The staff were attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the room experience was disappointing: very small with minimal ventilation through a tiny window, making it feel cramped. To reach it, you have to navigate a maze of hallways and stairs. The shower and breakfast were fine. I wouldn't recommend it if you value space and comfort in the room.
Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel. The bathroom was anything but clean upon our arrival – there was hair in the bath, a dirty sink, and it generally looked neglected. There were even ants in the bathroom, which is completely unacceptable. The room's furnishings were also very disappointing. Everything seemed cheap, low-quality, and very sparsely furnished. For the price, it's simply outrageous. The hotel is completely overpriced and offers neither cleanliness nor a pleasant atmosphere. I definitely wouldn't book it again.
