Feminas Arequipa

Feminas Arequipa is a local collective working for the rights, health and visibility of trans women in Arequipa. Part of the wider network of organisations behind the city's Pride march, it provides community support and advocacy in a region where trans people face significant social and legal barriers, including Peru's contested 2024 classification of trans identities under a mental-health decree. It is one of the grassroots groups that make up Arequipa's small but active LGBTIQ+ civil society.
