This was my third place at Aguas Calientes and was the cheaper and ironically: THE BETTER! The lady was very nice and accommodating since my arriving, she literally let me check into my room at 9am, so nice! Super welcoming. Room was basic but bed was very comfortable and you have everything you need, hot water, nice bedding sheets and they have a very beautiful terrace.. And the breakfast... Ohhh my good! Very good, thinking to you start your day walking at Machupicchu. Fruit, coffee, tea, bread, eggs.. Very good!

The bed is very comfortable and the facilities are in perfect condition. Marleni is very friendly and gave me great recommendations on places to visit and eat. 100% recommended!

I stayed at this hotel on July 24, 2025. We were greeted by very helpful staff, however, upon arriving in the room we found a lot of dirt, a thick layer of dust on the nightstand and shelves, hairballs and dust all over the room. We were with a child and it was impossible to let the child walk around the room in socks because the dirt stuck to the socks. The shower stall had hair from other guests, the room was for 4 people and they only provided 2 towels. The shower takes so long to release the hot water that I finished showering before the water got hot. The room had two glass windows high on the wall that looked out onto a common area that had a motion sensor to activate the lights, every time someone passed outside the room was illuminated by the outside light. The hotel offers a place to store luggage after checkout, the place is supposedly supervised, it is a room with shelves, I left our bags and when I returned the room was open and there was no one from the hotel to hand over the bags and there were other guests with free access to the place, I removed my backpacks without anyone from the hotel noticing.

The location is impeccable! Just one block from the main square and the bus station for Machu Picchu. Alan is very friendly and helpful; they pick you up upon arrival and offer recommendations! Breakfast on the banks of the Urubamba River is a great way to start your day, and the place is very peaceful at night. Highly recommended!

The location is great, with a beautiful view of the river and mountains. The rooms are clean. But above all, I received an exceptionally warm welcome from the owner, who was absolutely lovely. She accompanied me to the medical center when I was sick and waited with me until I was seen. She also helped me catch my train because I was still feeling unwell, all with a smile and great kindness.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Rumiqolqa. The owner was very kind and accommodating. We got a mountain view room right next to the river, and it was very relaxing to be soothed to sleep with the river sounds. The breakfast was excellent! Coffee, tea, freshly blended juice. Some breads with jam, butter, or avocado. Fresh eggs with a beautiful view at the top floor patio. Our only concern was the lack of hot water. It was available for short little spurts. We took it as an adventure. Turn the water off to let it reheat while you scrub yourself down. Rinse and repeat. The cool water reminds you that you're still alive. Overall, it is a great value, and the knowledge from the owner really helped make our trip better.

From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the hotel owner, a very kind and attentive person! She treated me like a son! Since I didn't have tickets for Machu Picchu, I had to go to the queue (which is less than a two-minute walk from the hotel) at 5 am. When I woke up, she had prepared a complete breakfast for me to take with me! I was the only one in line with coffee and a sandwich, haha. Comfortable rooms with hot water! I recommend it!

Machu Picchu is amazing, just stay somewhere else. My whole family got sick from the black mold in the room. The bathroom, shower, and curtain were covered in it. The rooms need a dehumidifier. Before I stayed there I read some reviews about the dampness in the room and thought, get over it, it’s a third world country. Well, it’s a problem. Invest in dehumidifiers. The room has no deadbolt and it felt very unsecure. They have cameras, but no one is there in the lobby 95% of the time. The men we met were very unhelpful. The two women we met were great. A woman of 50 and another of 70. They were kind. That said, this was hands down the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Wish I had taken pictures.

The owner and staff were very kind. I hadn't booked Machu Picchu entrance tickets in advance, but they actively showed me how to purchase them on-site, so I was able to get them easily. The breakfast, prepared with care by them personally, was also delicious. Although the room was old, there were a few bugs, and it was cold at night, it is a place I would like to stay again if I ever visit Machu Picchu again.

I stayed one night before the Machu Picchu tour; the hotel is well located, and the room was nice and clean.

Excellent service, the rooms are nice, and it's quite centrally located. The owner and her mother were very kind; we spent an entire afternoon sitting in their armchairs waiting for the train, and they made sure everything went smoothly until the very end.
