Worst service ever. Unprofessional staff and they are giving false results with wrong prescriptions. Long waiting times which is inappropriate. I wouldnt recommend to go there at all!

Best service I ever had in that kind of clinic. Staff was very kind and open-minded, the appointment went well and there was no wait. They explained me all options for my case and talked of all the side-effects possible, and made sure all was up to date. I understand some people here in the reviews that are complaining... I did the same at first! But it's clearly written on their website to call the last monday of the month in order to take your first ever appointment and take your informations. Yes, for that first appointment, there'll be a 3 weeks/1 month wait. And no, this isn't a walk-in clinic. Yes, you need your MSI card. But once this step is done, it's very easy to use their app and schedule another appointment if needed. And yes, they'll give you an N95 mask and you'll have to wear it inside their office. I'm definitely going there again.

this place would be awesome if you could actually get through to the workers. the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable, but it feels like you need to take a day out just to try and get through to them. they’ve recently updated to having an online booking but it’s limited, and confusing. my partner has a surgery recently and went to try and reschedule an appt, and without any other warning it cancelled the current one he had. it would’ve been nice if he was given some type of warning telling him that pressing reschedule would effectively cancel his current appointment. he hasn’t been able to get through since trying to reschedule, and can’t book a proper appointment because what he needs it for does not exist through their online services. the two of us together have tried to call well over 300 times today, and neither of us have been able to get through once. this clinic is wonderful and we both use it, the staff like i said are always kind and knowledgeable, it would just be a much less stressful experience if you could actually book an appointment.

i had a pap test done here and it was a very pleasant experience! booking was easy, staff were very kind and considerate and thorough during intake, and the doctor was awesome. she even sent through some referrals for internal imaging when i mentioned i have ovarian cysts and no family doctor.

I’ve had a great experience at the HSHC, especially with Dr Gibson. As a visitor in Canada, I had to pay for the consultations but it was only 42$ for a regular consultation. Everyone was very helpful and helped me with my situation.

I started to utilize the HSHC during the pandemic as a new resident of Canada without a healthcard yet and continued to utilize it as I don’t have a family doctor. I have had nothing but good experiences here. I have not had issues getting through on the phone and making timely appointments. Staff and doctors have all been wonderful, kind, and helpful. It has been a huge relief for me to have this resource.

Such a great experience at the Halifax Sexual Health Centre! The location was easy to find, every stairway had signs pointing where to go. The staff were beyond kind and took their time to ensure I felt comfortable. Consent was asked at every step and reassurance given. Thank you to their team for being amazing!

Very nice staff, they do bookings a month at a time so you need to call about 2 weeks before the following month to get an appointment. The downside was they don't do blood collection on site, they just give you the requisition form then you have to book online at a collection site which is a bit frustrating because its an extra hoop you have to jump through to get testing done, otherwise its a great place.

After calling 20 times in an hour to try to get any kind of appointment set up, I was lost in the building for 10 minutes because despite the Bayer's Road Centre having 3 entrances none of them signpost how to get to the HSHC. When I showed up they had marked me as a no-show and refused to see me despite having 15 minutes left in my appointment where all I needed was a cursory look at blood work and to refill the same meds I've been on for 3 years. Maybe I should have rebooked my appointment then, because maybe I wouldn't have to then call 20+ times the next time I try to book it. But this is why people DIY anyway, so I guess that's where this path is taking me. For an organization with no ability to book appointments and an active turning away of anyone who can't figure our the BRC labyrinth they sure seem to be constantly full all of the time.
