Chiefswood Park

Our baseball team stayed here for a tournament in Brantford and it was PERFECT! The cabins are incredible. Lots of room to hang out and for the kids to play. Best tournament accommodations for sure!

Great place for a relaxing break.

A small, peaceful park right beside the Garden River. You need to check in at the park office when you arrive. There are several small huts available to rent for overnight stays, plus free parking on-site. The park has fire pits with barbecue trays and a few picnic benches, which makes it great for a relaxed outdoor meal. The riverbank is sandy, though a bit difficult to access. The whole area is clean with no trash and very beautiful overall.

We’ve tried three different accommodations in a last year. Tent site was pretty good, close to washrooms, flat ground, nothing is flooded, close to water although you can only boat, kayak or canoe there, no swimming. We also tried glamping, those are cute but honestly only one of those have electricity and the rest has solar panels for the looks or something, they don’t work whatever they say they don’t work and it didn’t make sense to us. We enjoyed cabins the most, very comfortable, everything was thought through so we found those pretty impressive but we wish price would be more on affordable side that we could enjoy it more. They are often all booked and bring more business to the site. It is pretty quiet there but it is close to the road so it feels like you are camping in a public park. The staff is okay, solid 4. We like the convenience and location of the place. Try it out, it might become your spot. Also I did try a news letter on the website multiple times and it is not working. it is not allowing to subscribe.

I stayed here over the Christmas break with my kids in a grand cabin. The cabin was gorgeous and even with freezing rain one day and freezing winds the next, we had a blast! I now have two summer visits booked that I can't wait for and I plan on returning over Christmas break again. I will probably throw in a fall weekend trip as well. I travel to campgrounds and cabins a lot with my children and this one seems to have it all. Whether it is a family, couple, a girls weekend...there is something for everyone and every type of visitor. I love that there is also a glamping option for when a cabin might not fit the budget. This is my new favourite spot! I can't wait to see what the summer has to offer at Chiefswood Park!
