I was so excited to dine at Edulis, as I’ve been wanting to come here for years, and I had high hopes for the experience. Unfortunately, my experience did not turn out as I had expected. First, I was quite surprised that desserts were offered as an add-on option, which I found a bit odd for this type of dining experience. Additionally, throughout the courses, nothing really stood out to me. I genuinely couldn’t say what my favourite dish was. The artichoke with sausage, for example, was extremely salty. After one bite, I found it difficult to eat any more of it. Another main dish was the onion tartine, which was honestly quite disappointing. If it had been served as a small side or accompaniment, I could have understood it, but as one of the main courses, it felt underwhelming and lacking substance. I was also very disappointed by the jamón. It was not cut consistently—some pieces had an excessive amount of fat, while others had almost none—which made the dish feel poorly executed. Considering the price point, I expected a much more memorable and refined dining experience. Unfortunately, I left feeling that there are many other Michelin-starred restaurants in Toronto that offer a much better experience for the price.

Cute decor in every detail. Staff is proud of their products. Well curated menu. The only issue was (I should have mentioned to them in person) one of the dish was overly salty. I didn’t wanna waste food so I finished it but the table next to us left more than half a plate (so I knew it wasn’t just me). Nonetheless I enjoyed their July menu and will visit again.

Food is good, service is great. But it was a bit too noisy in the restaurant. They might need to install some sound absorbing panels. Music is a bit too loud for me to enjoy the food.
